Well first Hasbro completely removes the metal in place for thick plastic, then they disprove the use of an xtend+ swap, HASBRO WHY WON’T YOU PAINT YOUR LUINOR? As a plus, why won’t you paint the plastic heads?

@[KinkoUsagi], by the way, does that Yard driver still roll? I saw another pic of thar Yard and I swear it looks completely different, like the ball is attached to something, but your picture looks like the ball is in a casing that can roll. Could you confirm if that driver actually rolls?

It does roll in regular mode. It seems like it'll scrape, however, due to how the ball is versus TT Yard (more pushed in and thicker edges around the ball). When it's in "slingshock mode" you lose the ball, which sort of can move freely inside the chamber. It just becomes a shaft with a large hole in the middle, which... lol.

Edit: Just tested both modes. Regular mode seems OK, minus some odd movements. "Slingshock" is nuts and causes the stadium to move quite a bit. Seems fun! 

Edit 2: I just tested it against Balkesh B3 and it won by spin finish 4-0. Not bad at all!

It's the same gimmick as all the other drivers, basically, though. Goes from a fusion-like tip to the thick shaft (a bit thinner than Forneus). I don't mind it, but it's no Xtend+.

I really think people will warm up to these Beyblades, especially when the good Stadium is released (not that small, cheap blue one).

Does anything else think that Hasbro will the release the layers with metal later in the Turbo because it feels the Metal Fury line with dumb down parts then more accurate version later?

On the one hand. If they keep production costs down. Then they can make the beys cheaper to buy so the target audience in the western market doesn't feel as much of the sting. Since unfortunately, although there is a market- its  not even worth comparing the size of the asian beyblade target audience. So they probably did not have confidence that increasing the price due to metal was worth it.

Normally, yes, but I’m going to be super lame and recommend you watch Zankye’s videos. I feel strongly it elevates the community and supports creators when BeyTubers receive support (e.g., illnnuc, JoJo, Zankye, Kevo). He has 2/4 on already posted, with the codes and 2 more coming soon.

Probably even an advantage with some if they're really this lightweight. Like, I want to hate them, but there's a part of me that's fine with keeping a more level playing field. Even then, couldn't they do something to make the layers look less cheap?

Also, Switchstrike exists and dominates these puny little things the same way that they dominate Basic and Dual layers, so you'd basically have to remove most if not all of them from play to make things fair. It's like they decided to balance everything around these layers and then realized "Shoot, we already released the beginning of the God/Evolution line. Better finish that properly before we do this".

I feel like I'm one of the only people that likes Hasbro's Jolt though, even if it's mostly just a textured Xtreme. Hard to say why.

Honestly still debating about them, so I side with neither side for now.

On Hasbro's behalf,  balancing everything around a lighter weight not only keeps costs lower, but also prevents older parts from falling into disuse as badly as past generations (I'm looking at you in particular Metal saga). The Slingshock stadium is a unique and altogether not bad idea, if mayhaps a bit irritating with all the "new" drivers and driver modifications to collect on top of the standard variants. To add to everything, being able to fight Turbo beys against older parts feels like a true clash of generations within the series, and that's neat at worst. And hey, lighter weights are easier for the kiddies to use and result in higher RPMs, so there's that.

On the other hand beys that use the metal to accent their design look really, really cheaply done (as seen with Lunior and Forneus), and with so little weight Switchstrike outclasses Turbo  in terms of power. Tournament-wise the good Switchstrike layers will dominate anything else, so the only new things that can be added to the Hasbro competitive game are new drivers, disks, and frames since the new layers are useless competitively. All of this feels like potential setup for a Limited-style format free of Switchstrike layers, as that's the only way any of these new layers could stand a fair chance against everything else.

Really, it depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for clashes between old and new parts and more "balanced" customizing, this looks to be your day. If you're looking for good-looking beys, raw battling power, or authenticity, you'd be best avoiding them unless you really need a driver, disk, or frame released with one of them. Personally, I'm not all that likely to get them unless I really get a whim to do so, because there's not much here besides part mixing with older things, and that's just not much for me.

Either way you spin things, Turbo is not Super-Z by any means and shouldn't be taken as such.

So, after doing some thinking about it a came up with a solution. When Hasbro does these things like remove the metal or the international tournament it is only for one purpose. Sales. Think of when the tournaments wernt going on, you wouldnt find much beyblade stock in stores now that the tournaments going on there is a overstock of these beys. I walked into a target a month before the tournament started and I found a few beys but not much else, but when the tournaments started then I noticed that shelves are full. The removing of the metal is a calculated pr move that is working. People are talking about the beys more and more, then people buy them to try it out, and they buy more and more. Hasbro can make these beys for maybe a buck or 2 a piece. There profit is huge. It worked, we lost

Imho, Hasbro should take the phrase "manufactured under license from Takara Tomy" away from boxes and instructions. It's their (useless) stuff only, TT doesn't have to be mentioned.

The layers are too light to be used but the drivers (as long as the slingshock gimmick doesn't ruin them) could be used to further The hasbro meta.

Maybe X4 will come with the dagger frame, F4 will come with proof, and A4 with extend plus would be a launcher set.

But with our luck thoes three parts may have the same fate as ultimate reboot, the 3 disk, and yeilding.

Even then, These beys, cheaply done or not, are based heavily on designs from TT and would likely be called out as copyright infringement if Hasbro wasn't in a partnership. Even then this could be a requirement of the license itself, and therefore mandatory to keep their end of the bargain with TT.
