Question: When you all speak of hosting tournaments, do you all get them approved officially? I am a Children's Librarian at a Public Library and am seriously considering hosting an event at the Library. My gut is telling me, since I completely unaware of how much interest there is in blading in my area, that I should NOT try to get this first event officially approved...thereby freeing me up from some of the technical aspects of scoring etc.
If we do get a lot of interest than I can look into making future events more official.
What do you all think? I did find the Event Guide and found the info on doing bracketts etc. Just not sure if I want to get into the real BB points etc. If I don't, and its a tournament just to battle, not for points per se, will Bladers in the area (assuming there are any) still be interested in attending?
Forgive my ignorance, but I'm just a lowly Librarian trying to make my son happy and come up with new programs for our area kids.
