I happen to be british and as much as I hate to have to admit it USA won group C in goal difference. We were tied for matches 2 draws and 1 win each but they scored more.

Check the standings

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - Storm Dragoon - Jun. 24, 2010

No they are both tied

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - Benkei - Jun. 24, 2010

England and the USA both have 5 points and +1 GD however the next criteria is goals scored and the USA scored 4 and England scored 2.

Ughh that means we have Germany and Argentina instead of Ghana and Uruguay.

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - Storm Dragoon - Jun. 24, 2010

Usa scored two more goals than england.
I'm really excited i think USA has a shot to make it to the semi finals! I knew this team was better than the team that played in Germany and their really proving it. I love it when the 3 epl strikers are in at once it gets me really pumped and confident haha XD.

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - SK - Jun. 25, 2010

^^^ donovan has been amazing. i think he's scored in all 3 games?

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - Flame - Jun. 25, 2010

No, Clint Dempsey was the one who scored in the 1-1 Tie with england, but he scored in the other 2 games.

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - Dan - Jun. 25, 2010

Haha Italy.

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - gurugulu - Jun. 25, 2010

Can't believe Italy lost and didn't make it to the top 16.

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - Dan - Jun. 25, 2010

It is hard to believe, but they only started performing in the last 10 minutes.
Wow, what to do: Brazil vs Portugal.
since Kaka got stupidly red-carded I will root for portugal.

haha we beat italy in the pool xD
pretty surpised nz didnt lose any games heaps of draws tho, although italys pentaly against us was pretty bs so realy we should have won that game Uncertain ahwell at least we did pretty good for being a no count team

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - Dan - Jun. 25, 2010

True, Kiwi's should have won.
tbh I have no clue why the commentators say 'Kiwi's' historical? lol.

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - bskulldragon100 - Jun. 25, 2010

YES ITALYS NOT IN YES YES YES HA HA jospeh ows me 5 bucks ha ha pwned bud pwned

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - Dirge - Jun. 25, 2010

probley called it 'Kiwi's' historical because its only the 2nd time weve actully made it to a world cup and everyones suprised at how well we actully did considering before the world cup everyone say group F was all gonna be about who could score the most agaisnt nz,when we ended up drawing all our games which is pretty impressive

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - Dan - Jun. 25, 2010

Por vs Braz 0-0.
Good turnout for Portugal, barely acceptable for Brazil.

Portugal was better than Brasil in the second half IMO. This game was really boring... Brasil wasn't even trying.

RE: General Football (Soccer) Thread - Dan - Jun. 25, 2010

Yeah, very true.
Brazil didn't have it's flare.
I've noticed that the Portuguese get better as the game progresses.
