As far as I can remember he stopped Blading for a while after his loss to Lane. Not rly sure tho, I only heard about it in discussions.

He stopped blading when he was humiliated by Lane after a really bad loss, but then Hyuga beat Lane for him because he was lonely and wanted Hikaru to play with him.

Can you blame him tho? Free was really underutilized last season and could've been done way better.

I mean, come on, the entire season was building up his rematch with Lane, and when that rematch happened the two didn't even clash once.
Why must you treat our boi like that writers?

I don’t think it was doing that at all tbh, people just misinterpreted Free having some special importance. They wanted to audience to fear and understand Lane’s power, and that is why they involved Free in his backstory. Free couldn’t even but Shu while Silas was able to go head to head with Lane and last longer against Lane than Free did against Shu so I doubt he would even stand a chance against Lane.

Mhm so true.
The episode I loved was the free vs Lui one.

Fair enough I guess, but it was still sad to see Free being fodder for a whole season.

Same 'ere. Tho he does look like he'll be there for commentary for a good while, I hope he at least gets a couple good battles in (like the one with Lui in the Super Tag League).

To be fair I don’t think anyone was afraid of Lane at all I mean it was definitely interpreted considering the fact Free said it himself that he had to make a new Fafnir to beat lean even after the tag match with Shu and lane Free said to Valt”I couldn’t get my revenge against Lane”so it was most definitely intended for Free to go against Lane what baffles me is that every Legend with a Sparking bey faced Lane but Free with a Sparking bey has not Silas already faced lane and got stomped but with Free they shoved him to the side completely

Yeah nobody was actually afraid of Lane, the writers seem to forget that  it’s a kids show, nobody will fear their antagonist. Personally, I never saw Free fighting Lane as a valid expectation, at least not in some climactic fight. Free was ultimately just a recurring character amongst a cast of recurring characters of the same caliber, they weren’t giving him any special role. Honestly I doubt he would have stood an ounce of a chance anyway. Silas lasted longer against Lane than Free lasted again Shu, and Lane<Shu so it probably wouldn’t be an interesting battle.

Understandable just wish we got a fight between Lane and free again I also wanted to see if Silas can actually give Shu a run for his money let’s just hope the legends don’t get humiliated again and even if they do I hope it’s at least believe like Lui and Bell’s battle for now DB is going strong let’s see if they can keep it like that

Bro Shu isn’t better than Lean😭, also Silas’ goal is to BEAT FREE it’s literally what he’s been longing for, and it still hasn’t happened. Free>>Silas & Lean>Shu

I made a mistake, I meant to write Lane>Shu, my bad. If we go off of feats Silas is better. Free’s best legitimate feats are beating Silas by a second and eliminating Drum while vulnerable AND with a special with move. Hikaru and Hyuga needed to team up to beat Silas (and they used a special move) and he still eliminated Hikaru with him, Hyuga eliminated Free on his own. Your crazy if you think Free is better than any of those guy though. Lane was literally stomping bladers in 2v1 while Free hardly beat anybody in a 1v1 so he’s definitely better. Shu is probably better too, didn’t he actually perform well whilst actually eliminating powerful bladers (including Free).
