RE: Your Re-paints And Special Customisations - Kronin87 - Jan. 31, 2010 Here's the clear wheel that I customized a little while ago. Amazing what you can do with some paint, a flashlight and a camera! XD EDIT: Click "qui" to open the pic! http://stefaniniivan.altervista.org/CIMG6585.JPG http://stefaniniivan.altervista.org/CIMG6611.JPG http://stefaniniivan.altervista.org/CIMG6613.JPG http://stefaniniivan.altervista.org/CIMG6629.JPG http://stefaniniivan.altervista.org/CIMG6638.JPG This wheel does not have a name, any ideas? Imperfections in the paint were needed to give a sort of "lava effect" once enlightened the wheel. I also have a steampunk beylauncher, but I have to make better pictures before posting that >.< RE: Your Re-paints And Special Customisations - Giga - Jan. 31, 2010 If get some french writing when I try the links... But i tink that it's possible to put a led inside... there is little space, but maybe... RE: Your Re-paints And Special Customisations - RエスコルピオT125JB - Feb. 13, 2010 [attachment=1660] Actually, this is only a black Pegasis clear wheel in the Wind Aquario Booster and the clear Pegasis face from the Coco in Hong Kong. I call this as Black Pegasis! RE: Your Re-paints And Special Customisations - Ultra - Feb. 13, 2010 Looks sweet. I wish that a black coloured storm pegasus would be released. Either that or i'm gonna sprayspaint mine soon. RE: Your Re-paints And Special Customisations - theflightyellz - Feb. 13, 2010 That question has been answered in this thread.. There are multiple ways you can do it, and it depends heavily on what exactly you're coloring. I tend to use acrylics for both the clear and metal wheel, but I will occasionally use colored sharpies to color certain clear wheels. This is a good way to change clear wheels from yellow to green, or from a red to a purple.etc, and works best on lighter colors. A better way of doing this is using RIT dye, although I wouldn't recommend attempting this without the help of an adult. You should probably just stick with acrylic paint and a good quality soft haired brush, or sharpies. RE: Your Re-paints And Special Customisations - Ultra - Feb. 19, 2010 Would colouring the clear wheel with a sharpie work with black? Also what type of paint should be used on the track and the bottom and if you were gonna paint a storm pegasus black would there be any point in painting the RF cause wouldn't the Paint wear off with use? Colouring it with a sharpie would would probably turn out pretty crappy. I would suggest using Tamiya spray paint or something similar. I personally wouldn't bother painting the RF, it would just wear off very quickly and possibly ruin the performance of it. Don't forget to use a topcoat! (flat would turn out best). RE: Your Re-paints And Special Customisations - Ultra - Feb. 19, 2010 okay thanks. RE: Your Re-paints And Special Customisations - Giga - Feb. 19, 2010 Nope, colouring CWs with sharpies works really well (see Ellz's posts in this thread, and the photo gallery) RE: Your Re-paints And Special Customisations - BladingBrian - Feb. 21, 2010 Has anyone tried dipping a tip in silicone before? I know its illegal, but it might make for a good RF practice bottom.
