Yeah, if anyone doesn't get that, then they most certainly don't understand anything about music. What he's doing isn't exactly easy.
Also, it isn't unheard of. At one of my more recent recitals I saw a 10 and 16 year old both play Leyenda. Which is quite a bit more difficult than your average metal piece.
In fact, child prodigies aren't uncommon in this day and age. People keep getting better and better at their instruments, and the talent keeps coming at younger ages.

He's playing the song in the background for reference, and then playing his guitar over it.
This is a pretty basic way of covering songs. The reason people play the actual song in the bg is so that they can keep in time with the music.

Other than the font and the choice of colors, I think its pretty cool looking.
And for carp's sake dude, he's 15. That's not even old enough to be able to get a job in most places in the US. How do you expect him to pay an artist to make him a myspace?

This kid could play this piece at 9, albiet, not perfectly, but a lot better than most people could.
Kid playing guitar.
Up until a couple years ago, I wouldn't even have messed with that piece. Playing it perfectly would be a carp.

Just about everything that could feasibly be wrong with a drawing of a bird except that it captures a general likeliness is wrong with that picture. Its not just bad, its an eyesore: from a design standpoint it would look better without it, and I'd be willing to bet it deters people from their page.
I'm 15. You can get a job at the age of 15. You can raise the miserly hundred-fifty dollars it costs for a header from a peer if you're 15. Hell, my point is that you can have the sense to not put that thing at the top of your myspace.
I'm being critical because I'm sympathetic. Its a shame I think that he (and his band) could be taken more seriously and possibly do much better for themselves if they knew these things.
