RE: Questions about the WBO - Janstarblast - May. 12, 2011 Well, if that's the point, benjo, no problem. Coz I thought that its required that it be confirmed that they are different people. They'll be active at tournaments. Some might post if I make them an account. RE: Questions about the WBO - TheBlayder - May. 12, 2011 Hmm, i dont know where to put a topic, video games? your creations? The topic will be about RPG Maker (a game making system) and just discussion on how to use it, things you have made for it (i.e games, sprites, script). I dont really know what forum to put it in, any help? RE: Questions about the WBO - Ryuk - May. 13, 2011 Hey guys, I have a question. Why are people aloud to use the word "damn" but they can't use words like c r a p? RE: Questions about the WBO - Kai-V - May. 13, 2011 (May. 13, 2011 12:57 AM)Ryuk Wrote: Hey guys, We do not really see "damn" as such a swear word. Arguably, the example you gave could for sure be removed since "carp" is essentially what it is though. RE: Questions about the WBO - Ryuk - May. 13, 2011 OK, thanks for the answer. I just thought the "d" word is more vulgar than the other word I mentioned, so I wondered why you couldn't use the "c" word that I mentioned above. And I didn't know of any other way to say the "c" word so you guys could see it, because "carp" is the filter for every swear word. RE: Questions about the WBO - Nano - May. 13, 2011 carp has multiple another meanings unlike damn. That is mostly why too. We can't get rid of Hell. We would end up saying "Carp Kerbecs" RE: Questions about the WBO - ƛnubis - May. 13, 2011 (May. 13, 2011 2:11 AM)Nano Wrote: carp has multiple another meanings unlike damn. That is mostly why too. RE: Questions about the WBO - Kai-V - May. 13, 2011 (May. 13, 2011 2:17 AM)Ryuk Wrote: I don't mean to offend anyone, but why can't we use the word "c r a p"? Look, this whole word filter is inspired from one of Blader: Kenny's stories, which was hilarious. He was trying to spell "c r a p" correctly, but he wrote "carp" instead, and in the context where that was written, it was even funnier. RE: Questions about the WBO - Ryuk - May. 13, 2011 Damn is much worse than c r a p, because it could be a curse word against somebody else. c r a p is not a curse word, but a slang word. Unfortunately, in this day and age, there are second grade public school children who use the "f" word, and know all the curse words out there. Again, what is wrong with using a slang word? Would you rather someone use sh..? RE: Questions about the WBO - Rustled Jimmies - May. 13, 2011 That slang word still has the same intention as sh- does. However, while it CAN be considered "less offensive" to some, people still get the general idea and would still find it offensive regardless. And using c--p to depict feces is the same as using sh-. RE: Questions about the WBO - Kai-V - May. 13, 2011 I do not know if it is your culture, but "damn" is perfectly fine for me and it has been like that on all the message boards I have visited over the last ten years. RE: Questions about the WBO - Ryuk - May. 13, 2011 If you guys find certain slang words so offensive, why don't you ban all use of any word that can be construed as any type of curse word, and just speak like we all should??? I'm an everyday person, just like a majority of people are, not a goodie-goodie. RE: Questions about the WBO - Rustled Jimmies - May. 13, 2011 Damn really isn't a swear. Same as b--ch, but MOST people use it like that. When people, however, use "dammit", it MIGHT seem offensive because of how it's used. Some times "God damn it" may seem even worse. But yeah, damn really isn't a swear to cry about. RE: Questions about the WBO - Ryuk - May. 13, 2011 Yo dude, did you read #3 in that link of yours??? It says: 3. to bring condemnation upon; ruin. Do you know what that means??? It's wishing bad on something. How in the world is that not a curse??? Oh yeah, in the Oxford New Desk Dictionary and Thesaurus, it defines c r a p as "nonsense; rubbish". That's it's first definition too!!!! RE: Questions about the WBO - PattyCakeChamp! - May. 13, 2011 (May. 13, 2011 2:58 AM)Ryuk Wrote: Yo dude, did you read #3 in that link of yours??? It says: 3. to bring condemnation upon; ruin. Damn Ryuk just leave it alone lol but in one of those it says "swear" RE: Questions about the WBO - Ryuk - May. 13, 2011 Damn to you too! Get with it. By any chance, is your first name Dic*, the nickname for Richard? RE: Questions about the WBO - Boxy ID - May. 13, 2011 I have a Question. Im not sure if this is about the WBO but, Kai-V or Beybrad(not sure which made it), What gave you the idea to make the WBO? RE: Questions about the WBO - Kai-V - May. 13, 2011 (May. 13, 2011 4:04 AM)□□□□□ Wrote: I have a Question. Im not sure if this is about the WBO but, Kai-V or Beybrad(not sure which made it), What gave you the idea to make the WBO? Brad made it. If he sees this he could give you his own answer, but I am quite certain it was because there were no competent Beyblade boards at the time and the community needed to be moved to a new site that would really be active and moderated, but most importantly, I think this sort of organisation was something he always wished to do for the Beyblade community. RE: Questions about the WBO - Nano - May. 13, 2011 Wasn't it also because OtC died? RE: Questions about the WBO - Cye Kinomiya - May. 13, 2011 This site started just with beywiki. The WBO came after. I'm not entirely sure, but I think it may have come from an idea he had years back called the IBA (International Beyblade Association) |
