His calculations do make him stronger, but there is a reason why he lost to Drum(he didn’t or rather he couldn’t take into account of resonance). Seeing as Valt has a massive resonance with Valkyrie he is stronger than Gwyn.

It's kinda been shown that resonance cannot be accurately calculated. As long as you got that and greater power I guess the other legends could overwhelm Gwyn, as clearly shown.
