In that case....Fire Red and Heart Gold I guess. And it's counterparts, but those are the two I got.

I like heart gold too. And I think Pokemon red is good. I play it on a Game boy emulator,though.

I have 3 i like equaly
pokemon pin ball i found fun and entertaining the rumble feature was neat aswell
Red cause i liked messing with the glitches and it was unique at the time.
Gold because it was the longest game and you didnt have to buy all the extra games to fill the pokedex

The crystal version was my favorite even though getting Lugia and Ho-oh is like almost near impossible.

HG/SS because I just got so addicted to it. Plus it was longer compared to D/P/Pt, IMO.
Emerald since it was fun with the Battle Frontier, and the cloning glitch was awesome.

I like Pokemon Soul silver Going back to the Kanto region was great i would rate that in my top five after Emerald Platinum Diamond Blue

I actually like them all...but I'd have to go with HG/SS, mainly because it includes 2 regions instead of one (otherwise I'd get done playing it too quickly).

My fave is Pokemon Yellow! I just loved the fact you got Pikachu as a starter and it followed you! (I know SS and HG allow pokemon to follow you now but before it was really special!) and you could have all 3 starters from kanto! That was my first Gameboy Game I bought as well! I also really liked Ruby/Sapphire they were the beginning of a totally advance version of Pokemon! Tbh I loved all Pokemon RPGs, they were all awesome

Mine is heart gold because you can choose which pokemon to follow you around...and the johto pokemon have always been my fav.
