just got the new Master Diabolos bey. cant find any testing thread so i decided to open one.
1st test: Master Diabolos Sting Jolt (right spin) vs Perfect Phoenix Outer Xtend+ (level chip)
MD.St.Jl - 3 wins (2 K.O 1 Outspin, due to armor hitting pP)
pP.Outer.Xt+ - 7 wins (2 K.O, 5 outspins)
.... everytime MD gets a big hit, pP always gets lucky and hits the wall. can anyone else confirm these results? (p.s. my Jolt is a little bit worn, but still usable. if anyone wants a side view photo of it just tell me, ill upload it :) )

Interesting but pP on Xt+ doesn’t seem to be used as much as it used to be competitively though could you try MD.St.Qc’ (both directions) vs. LS.0C.Xt+ (Left Stamina)?

man i wish i could but i only have very limited GT parts ( for now). maybe you could wait for someone with much more parts to test for you

Lazerbeamz created an amazing combo that Shindog tested and JoJo just made a video on. It's Master Bahamut Around Bearing. This combo takes advantage of the Master Base's low-hanging contact points when in Left-Spin Mode, which are just low enough to make contact with the protrusions on the Around Disk and create some insane Burst resistance.

A cool combo, but I believe that Master’s greatest potential lies in those same contact points, but used as upper attack protrusions, like Zwei’s dragon heads that create upper attack.

Yeah, it's kind of aggressive and this combo can be countered by a Right Spin Xtend+ combo, a Left-Spin O/Om/At combo, or most stationary Left-Spin Lord combos. I could see Master Bahamut Around Destroy' being used as a Mobile Defense or Destabilizer combo, but Right Spin Master would definitely take advantage of Quick', Xtreme', or Jolt'.

i retested MD.St.Jl vs pP.Outer.Xt+ (LC) and this time, i got a 5:5 score.. is MD inconsistent or is it just me? it could probably be just me because i kinda suck at sliding shoot ?? but needs more testing..

I played in a few tournaments in Tokyo today and have a few quick notes on my experience with Master:
- As I expected, mode changing Master seems to be permitted (in WBBA, WBO we haven't clarified yet but it will almost certainly be not permitted) if you're using a bi-directional Chip it seems
- I used ML.0W.Br in pretty much all of my matches (they were all 3on3 or 5G) and won every round against attack types (even Zwei several times with no clicks). Although there may have been a couple times that it happened after I hit the back wall and came back in (which is currently a KO under WBO rules).
- I lost a same spin round vs Lord on Bearing
- One other person was using a similar Master Bearing combo and seemed to do pretty well, although there was a couple cases I saw him get KOed and even OSed by a pP.Hy
- Paradox also grinds against Master in left spin like Around does
- Need to test more myself, but Master does seem to lose to Lord same spin, so that does help to lower its versatility.
- Right now, it's quite good vs. attack in general but it certainly is beatable (albeit, basically unburstable depending on your setup) and in opposite spin on high LAD Drivers

I find that around octa is doing much better then around atomic provides the extra weight needed to hang in and has pretty good stamina with fairly good lad outlasting ds' in opposite spin and seems to body against same spin bearing combos lord in particular

Just using the Diabolos II chip could work, but the more teeth the better in this situation. I guess also Fafnir, but really Bahamut is the best GT chip for this sort of combo

I've yet to test my own MD as I just got it two days ago along with the Naked RBV, but I'd assume MD.St/Bl.X'/Jl'/Qc' would do nicely for right spin upper attacker, and MD.Vn/Pr.Br for left spin spin-equalizer.
I tend not to separate the Base+Chip stock combo for aesthetic purposes, but I'm seeing really spicy combos on this thread for Master Diabolos.

Master Bahamut Around Bearing is really just unburstable because the Around's plastic makes contact with the layer Master and increases friction and makes it really hard to burst. Bahamut has a lot of teeth which makes it have more teeth to skip before bursting, and Bearing's weak spring shows how effective it is. It doesn't burst to Zwei Diabolos combos.

A bit of note.
Atomic beats Xtend+ in same spin most of the time (unless its something so lopsided like single layer vs ChoZ obviously) so I wouldn't credit the victories purely to Master's stamina potential in the right spin MDb At vs pP Xt+ tests.
An anecdote: even Geist Fafnir Atomic can beat Lord Spriggan Xt+ in same spin
