Oops, just noticed that it said, "Players can compete against each other in races and battles with up to 4 players in split screen mode and up to 12 players via Nintendo's Wifi Connection service.". Didn't notice that the first time lol
Also, either there's a typo or it says 12 players online, not 16.

No, later in the article it says that the player cap has been upped from 12 to 16.
EDIT: Whoa wtf, they must have edited the article since I last read it.
But still, there is a huge contradiction here. At the top of the page underneath the title of the article it still says 16 players online, yet the article says 12.
When I read this yesterday before posting it it said something along the lines of "Mario Kart Wii will feature online battles and racing with up to 16 players, which has been upped from the 12 cap we previously knew of". That isn't the exact wording, but I very clearly remember it saying something like that. This is weird.

Well, according to The Wiire, there is only 12. It's not the biggest difference imo, 12 is still a lot of people.

thank god. It is GC controller compatible I don't like using the wii mote much except for zelda.

I don;'t have a Wii Brad. The Wiimote is cool don't get me wrong, but some games feel awkward with it so I like to use the GC controller.

well theres a list of Secret characters out and must say I'm a bit disappointed. Firstly, there is no ROB which is my favourite MK player atleast for MKDS. Secondly they have some really useless characters like Baby Daisy, Baby Peach, and FUNKY KONG!!!!! My favourite ones are Koopa, Dry Bowser, and Bowser Jr. I will probably use them. they also got Rosalina which is ok, but her voice sounds horrible. please give your opinions.
