What To Buy To Be Successful In Plastics - Poseidon - Aug. 21, 2011
This Thread is a complication of everything you be successful in plastics. This is not an infinite list of every part and how it can be used, but includes every Beyblade that contains a competitive part and how it can be used.
Beyblades
#17 Starter Dragoon Grip Attacker
Its wide rubber tip makes the Blade base one of the only two top tier attack bases. The base is light since it has no spin gear which combined with the wide rubber tip gives it tremendous speed. Unfortunately the downside of not having a spin gear is that its right spin only. It’s very hard to find due to being one of the earliest releases and a high amount of demand for it as the base is top tier. If you find a good condition one or a boxed one for a good price you should buy it. #18 Metal Dragoon Bearing Stinger
Metal dragoon Bearing Stinger is while not essential is a very worthwhile purchase. As it is 4 layers series the bearing core as a whole can’t be transferred but you can transfer the shaft. This means however that you must have either Wolborg’s or Burning Kerberous’s SGs to use it. In terms of stamina it is best but it has trouble with some stamina combos.
Unlike bearing core, MDBS has more pure survival potential. Also, bearing base can hold 2 shield bearings so when hit, the BB doesn’t take as much damage.. #32 Starter Draciel Metal Ball Defenser
Whilst Draciel S is a better option in pure defence, Draciel MBD outshines its upgrade in compact combination. The small size of the metal ball base gives high spin velocity and fitting the criteria perfectly. #34 Starter Dragoon S
Storm Grip Base combines a soft, flat rubber tip, low height and light weight to a great effect, being arguably the best base to use for Upper Attack Customs. Due to the soft rubber wearing out, it is advised to buy multiples of this Beyblade. Additionally, this Beyblade includes Left SG Castings, which has many uses in Zombie/Survival combinations. #35 Starter Driger S
This should be a main priority for all bladers. Tiger Defencer is arguably one of the most useful Plastic series attack ring created, having top tier usage in every type, apart from Attack. SG flat base, when launched straight can even outlast Wolborg’s bearing core; when launched on a slant, it acts as aggressively, similar to SG Metal Flat 2.
#47 Starter Kid Dragoon
This is a great purchase for attack and defence enthusiastic. Upper dragon is the best attack ring for Upper Attack, due to the long slopes. Furthermore, it is one of the best Attack Rings for weight based defence, due to the heavy weight and circular shape. It’s advised to own more than own of this due to its many uses. Alternatively, Master Dragoon may also be purchased; being an identical release, with the only notable difference being that it is released in white. A-2 Starter Dranzer S
This is a great purchase for all bladers. Firstly, the SG castings can hold Driger F's tip which allows it to be used in a great smash attack custom. When the base is used in conjunction with Driger S’ AR and Wide Survivor it creates a brilliant zombie combo which is able to outlast anything. This is able because the SG has a bearing and the base has the best LAD of any plastic base essentially. The only downside is that it moves like an attack type and is very light so a substantial hit can easily knock it out.
A-3 Starter Galeon
The AR is very similar in performance to Driger S’ AR, in that it’s top tier for 2/3 types. The AR is made up of two parts with the second being a free spinning part. War Lion is able to reduce damage to the Beyblades spin, the S-AR often absorbing the hit, rather than the AR itself. The base is less useful however with only some good but not top tier compact uses. A-11 Booster Wolborg
While considered outclassed by Burning Kerberous , it is a cheaper and much more easy to find option. The SG is the only real reason to own this Beyblade. It's a good part to own in a zombie custom, as the bearings reduce the loss of spin when hit. It is advised to buy the Takara version due to the more pointed tip and increased aggression.
A-14 Starter Draciel S
SG metal ball is a great part for defence type Beyblades. The tip tends to stay towards the centre of the arena, easily avoids attack types. By adding an extra set off metal balls and a HMC, metal ball base is one of the most popular bases for defence, due to its excessive weight and lack of recoil- not to mention its ability to be able to avoid attack types. A-17 Starter Trygle
Trygle’s AR (Triple Wing) is top tier for smash attack types in right spin. It has three protrusions which provide good smash attack and is completely devoid of recoil which is amazing since essentially every other AR for smash attack has at least some recoil. If buying an AR for smash attack either buy this (Trygle) or Griffolyon as both are equally good.. A-24 Starter Driger F
Driger F is a great choice for Attack type customs, the flat metal tip provides aggressive speeds , when used with Dranzer S' castings and SG defence grip 2, it is amongst the best Attack type customs available. Additionally, being metal, it has increased survival capabilities than other rubber tips that are available.
A-39 Booster Wolborg 2
This is a great Beyblade to own for defence enthusiasts. SG bearing core version 2, being made of rubber, increases friction between the tip and the stadium, making it much more difficult to KO than its predecessor. It’s also advised to own multiples off this Beyblade as the rubber tip wears over time.
In addition, the Base has uses in zombie Customs, having some degree of LAD and also Attack type customs, making it priority Beyblade to buy. A-69 Starter Dragoon V2
Dragoon V2 is one of the most useful buys created. Customise base can be used in multiple ways; with the removal of the tip, you can use a bearing core in the BB, opening up several option for its use.
Dragoon V2 is widely considered to the most competitive Base to use in Attack customs, barring perhaps Uriel 2. Customise Grip Base is generally as aggressive as other notable Dragoon Bases, such as Storm Base, although is much wider and made of a harder rubber. What makes it notable among these numerous bases is that it can hold a SP, drastically increasing the amount combinations that this Beyblade can support. One notable Offensive combination that this Bast supports is the use of the Dark series support part and Driger G’s AR.
Perhaps a more notable use for Dragoon V2 is that, with the legitimate removal of the tip, Dragoon V2’s BB can support Bearing cores. This allows Customise Grip Base to be used in Zombie and Defence customizations. Overall, this is one of the single most useful Beyblades. A-75 Booster Driger V2
Driger V2 is a must purchase for Upper Attack enthusiasts. This Beyblade is widely considered to be the best Beyblade uncustomized. The Attack Ring, when used with the support part generates massive Upper Attack potential. Furthermore, the Base is considered an upgrade to Driger S’ Metal Change base, being able to hold a SP. A-77 Booster Voltaic Ape
Voltaic Ape contains one of the most useful parts required to be successful in plastics, its SP Defence Ring. The Support part has found use in for all types of playing, being considerably heavy and circular for a SP. Additionally, the small Knobs placed equidistant on the SP lend themselves well to spin stealing. A-78 Booster Gaia Dragoon V
Gaia dragoon V's SG Metal Flat Base 2 is one of the best BB for attack. It utilizes metal tip, rather than a rubber tip. This results in slower movement, but increased survival capabilities. Overall, this definitely warrant a purchased, for more balanced offensive customizations. Additionally, this Beyblade is much cheaper
A-81 Booster Dranzer V2
Firstly, the AR, Cross Dranzer, can be utilized for some degree of upper attack usage however it should be noted that both upper dragon and triangle wing have superior Upper Attack. The SP is vital to both survival and defence types. The 4 “knobs†lend themselves extremely useful to spin stealing and due to the circular shape, is a decent defensive part.
A-82 Booster Burning Kerberous
Burning Kerberous’ Bearing Core 2 is one of the best survival parts created, it can hold 2 NSK bearings so when hit, it can regain balance easily because of this. The core has very high endurance when shot straight and can even out spin Wolborg's bearing core. Furthermore, Burning Kerberous Shaft can now hold Uriel 2’s Rubber Tip, allowing massive offensive potential when utilized correctly. A-85 Booster Draciel V2
Draciel V2 is worthwhile purchase for the SP, Fin Tector. In attack mode, Fin Tector has the best smash when compared with all the other SP. Uriel 2
Uriel 2's BB is the fastest and strongest BB for attack created. The tip is made of rubber and around the width of grip flat core (ultimate version). However, the BB is prone to breaking- suffering from Gold Plastic Syndrome, additionally the rubber is quick to wear down, and is very hard to find as it released in a random booster. However, this can be rectified by using the rubber tip in Uriel 2 and placing it in Burning Keberous shaft. This drastically minimises breakage..
A-89 Starter Dragoon G
Whilst the rest of the Beyblade is neglected, Eight Spiker has the best smash for left spin attackers. Unlike a lot of useful AR's this is by far the easiest to obtain, and the most affordable. A-94 Booster Driger G
Driger G's Triple Tiger has both good Smash and Upper Attack. Whilst it's Smash doesn't compare to Trygle's, nor its Upper compare to Upper Dragon, it cannot be argued the AR is still one of the strongest and is a worthwhile purchase.
A-95 Booster Metal Driger
Metal Driger is one of the best Beyblades to purchase for attack and defence. The prized part of this Beyblade is undoubtedly the Heavy Metal Core (HMC). The advantages of using this in attack are that it significantly reduces recoil; for defence it increases weight, making ti harder to KO. It is advised to buy multiples of this Beyblade.
Important note: Hasbro released this Beyblade without a HMC and replaced it with a EG, rendering this Bey useless. A-100 Booster Wolborg 4
Long considered useless, Wolborg 4 BB and Engine Gear has found use as being one of the best bases to use in defensive and stamina customs. Its heavy weight and Engine Gear allow it both too take hits, and out spin numerous Beyblades. Furthermore, the BB is considered a Zombie Killer making Wolborg 4 a worthy purchase.
A-129 Booster Zeus
Zeus: There are 2 moulds: one Takara, one Hasbro. The Hasbro one, comes with a normal EG. The Takara one comes with a free shaft bearing core.
Its AR+S-AR works incredibly well due to the fact that is a free movement AR! Furthermore, the use of the Sub Attack Ring with another Attack Ring, able to hold a Sub Attack Ring, holds it in place, giving it huge attack power. Dark Series
Three were released in random boosters and two with the Japanese release of the DVD. The SP in each of the dark series lend themselves useful to defensive customs and offensive customs, as they have good synergy with infamous AR’s such as Triple Wing and Triple Tiger.
Gabriel
The AR of this Beyblade is the best for zombie types. Unfortunately it’s quite rare since it was only released through random boosters. While Metal Dranzer is a much cheaper alternative, Gabriel is preferred for a purely Zombie Combination.
Wide Defence
Wide defence is the most useful weight disc available for attack. The indents create smash attack, unlike any other weight disc, making it a great purchase. Also it is the heaviest Weight Disk, so makes a good choice for defence customs Wide Survivor
Wide survivor is a completely circular weight disc, ideal for stamina customs. Whilst it may seem quite costly for a weight disc, it is incredibly useful, and far outclasses all other Weight Disks in stamina customizations. Accessories
Customise Grip
Customise grip, essentially, is a handle that fits in your launcher, and is customizable with other accessories that include metal and rubber grips. Most players tend to use these. Stadia
A-93 BeyStadium Attack Type (Tornado Type)
[spoiler]While this is the best stadium for plastics it is in the recommended section because on the whole BB-10 is equal and anyone that plays with MFB will have that anyway meaning that for most players you don’t need to buy it at all.
This is possibly the most balanced stadium ever created. For testing or battling competitively, this is the best stadium to buy. One of the only downsides however is the thin nature of the plastic the stadium is made of. The stadium can easily crack when accosted by an attack type. While the stadium used to be quite rare it is in Sonokong sets available on eBay. As stated above however BB-10 is equally good although with some minor differences, being that B-10 is more KO friendly, due to the smaller surface area of the arena but if you want a stadium just for plastics then buy this one. Myths
Bearing Gyros AR – This is an AR from a Beyblade called Bearing Gyros (three variations of which were released) where the AR is the only usable part for battling. In the past if was said to be the best AR for zombie types. However recent testing found it to be highly overrated. Tiger Defenser, Scissor attacker and Twin Horn all outclass it. Furthermore the aforementioned three are all much easier to find than Bearing Gyros. As such there is no reason to purchase one barring collection purposes.
AR=Attack Ring
S-AR= Sub-AR
WD= Weight Disk
CEW= Customizable Engine Weight
SG= Spin Gear
EG= Engine Gear
SP= Support Part
BB= Blade Base
RE: What to buy in plastics - DynaZord - Aug. 21, 2011
My goodness. Thank you. I have favorited this. If you want, you can have Sparta spruce it up, he turns it into fancy grammar
Now I just need money... but I seriously needed this.
EDIT: Also, isn't it Voltaic Ape? Not Volcanic Ape?
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Ultra - Aug. 21, 2011
It's either vortex or something else I can't remember but surely not volcanic. I think it should definately be mentioned in the Draciel F bit that Draciel S' base is better. Mainly because Draciel F's base goes off balance easily due to the bad placement of where to put the ball bearings. Also I think Dranzer V2 should be mentioned since pretty much every part of it has some use. Also the SP is good for stamina and a lot easier to find than other beys with good stamina SP's like Blizzard Orthrous or the Dark Series beys. Overall though it's very good. One thing that I think should be mentioned is the bearing gyros series(it's likely you have no idea what these are since they're amazingly rare) since they contain what is probably the best stamina ar for plastics ever.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - DynaZord - Aug. 21, 2011
Hasbro used Vortex, and Takara used Voltaic, IIRC.

nah ive heard of bearing gyros just fogot.
One question , wouldnt defence ring be better than dranzer v2s SP ? Ill add later.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Poseidon - Aug. 22, 2011
sorry for the double post, but i have fixed draciel F and ill get round to bearing gyros.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Justaway - Aug. 22, 2011
Great guide..thanks a lot for this..I wanted it before getting a plastic again...it will help a lot.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Galaxy - Aug. 22, 2011
Good work :]
Thanks for your work!
I think you'd add something as Zeus,Dark Series,Metal Dragoon Bearing Stinger,Galman for example
EDIT: Also Gabriel,Seaborg 2,Cyber Dragoon!

EDIT: Also Gabriel,Seaborg 2,Cyber Dragoon! i have no idea what zeus is good for, i knowit has to bearing and screw zeus but apart from that i not sure, Is screw zeus any good ? Also ive said before, i think that we should leave the dark series out, because the SPs' only useful part, and i think that defence ring is better. With MDBS ithink wolborgs bearing core is better. Personally war monkey ithinks overatted by beywiki so iwantto leave it out. Ill add seaborg and gabriel though. isn'tcyber dragoon useless. Cybernetic dragoon is terrible and the rest of the bey isnt either.

I'll PM you writing you why Zeus is good :]
Uhm,are so different Wolborg's Tip and MDBS's Tip,don't know if we can compare them!
I did great matches with War Monkey,in my opinion it should be mentioned, also Glaman if i remember good comes with 6 Heavy that's also good, and it should be a second reason to buy it!
Cyber Dragoon is not so good, you're right, but i think that for OHKO Combo it's necessary! :]
EDIT: Also Uriel 2 should be mentioned! A Top BB + Top SP that you can put in it ...

That SPs have different work to do on the combo,so i think we can't compare them!
As Ultra said,i think you have to write for both of them
RE: What to buy in Plastics - BeyFan - Aug. 22, 2011
I know Kid Dragoon is already there, but Master Dragoon should be there too. Same bey, but there should be some mention of Master Dragoon.
As for Bistool, it is the Hasbro version which is better to own. The Takara version's AR is more prone to breakage.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Poseidon - Aug. 22, 2011
Added dranzer v2, Uriel 2, and master dragooon in kid dragooon as a side note

RE: What to buy in Plastics - Benjohadi - Aug. 23, 2011
i think dragoon GT / hasbro's Trygle 2 should be added too for their engine gear..driger v2 might need to be considered too..and how about weight disks; wide defence & wide survivor..those are a must have item too..
nice topics indeed..
just a suggestion here :
isnt it more proper to put in spoiler and divide them into few sections i.e. attack, defence, stamina, zombie, etc.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Poseidon - Aug. 23, 2011
i put them in order of released but with uriel 2 i put it inbetween the end of the V2 and beginning of G series.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Ultra - Aug. 23, 2011
Wide Defence and Wide survivor should definitely be on there.

Beyblades
#8 Booster Bistool
Bistool is simply one of the best balance type beys'. Wing Cross is popular in balance and compact combo's, the most popular of which is 10bBistool.
#17 Starter Dragoon Grip Attacker
Dragoon Grip Attacker's Grip Base is possibly the most aggressive BB created. It has a wide rubber tip, making it the fastest and strongest BB. Unfortunately, they are hard to come by now, so if you see one it is adviced to get it.
#32 Starter Draciel Metal Ball Defenser
Whilst Draciel S is a better option in pure defence, Draciel MBD outshines its upgrade in compact combo. The small size of the metal ball base gives high spin velocity and fits the criteria perfectly.
#34 Starter Dragoon S
Storm Grip base is one of the best parts released for upper attack. The flat rubber tip, low height and light weight make it a must own for all bladers. It is adviced to buy more than one because the rubber tip wears out quickly.
#35 Starter Driger S
This should be a main priority for all bladers. Tiger Defencer is one of the best attack rings created due to its many uses in all areas of the metagame. SG Flat Base, when launched with a straight shoot, can even outlast Wolborg's bearing core; when launched with banking/sliding shoot, it acts aggressively, similar to SG Metal Flat 2.
#47 Starter Kid Dragoon
This is a great purchase for attack and defence enthusiasts.. Upper Dragon is simply one of the best attack rings for upper attack due to the long slopes. Furthermore, it is one of the best attack rings for weight based defence due to the heavy weight and circular shape. It's adviced to own more than own of this due to its many uses. This was also released as Master Dragoon, in a yellow color.
A-2 Starter Dranzer S
This is a great purchase for all bladers. Firstly, the SG castings can hold Driger F's tip which allows it to be used in a great smash attack custom. Furthermore, Spiral Change Base is possibly one of the best bases for attack.
A-3 Starter Galeon
War Lion is amongst the best attack rings for defence as the sub attack ring takes all the blow leaving the rest off the bey virtually undamamaged. This is the best choice of ARs for grip based defence.
A-11 Booster Wolborg
The SG is the only real reason to own this beyblade. It's one of the best parts to own in zombie customs, the bearings reduce the loss of spin when hit. However it is adviced to buy the Takara version due to the pointed at the tip and being more aggressive.
A-14 Starter Draciel S
SG Metal Ball is a great part for defence type bladers. The tip tends to stay towards the centre of the arena, so it easily avoids attack types. By adding an extra set off metal balls and a HMC, SG Metal Ball is one of the most popular bases for defence.
A-17 Starter Trygle
Trygle's Triple Wing is amongst the best attack rings for smash. Usually, smash leads to recoil, however the problem is almost non-existent with Triple Wing. This is a must own for attack type bladers.
A-24 Starter Driger F
Driger F is a great choice for atack type bladers, the flat metal tip provides high speed and when used with Dranzer S's castings and SG Defense Grip 2, it is amongst the best attack type customs you can get.
A-35 Starter Draciel F
Whilst the rest of the bey is neglected, Fortress Base is a key part for defence type bladers. When used with 3 sets of metal balls it is the heaviest base available. Furthermore, its ability to hold a SG Bearing Core Version 2 makes it one of the hardest beys to KO. However, Fortress Base suffers from bad balance, due to the placing of the metal balls, making Draciel S' base the best for defence.
A-39 Booster Wolborg 2
This is a great bey to own for defence enthusiasts. SG Bearing Core Version 2 increases the friction between the Beyblade and the stadium, making it harder to KO than its predecessor. Its also adviced to own multiples of this bey as the rubber tip wears over time.
A-69 Starter Dragoon V2
Dragoon V2 is one of the most useful buys created. Customise Base can be used in multiple ways; with the removal of the tip, you can use a Bearing Core in the BB, opening up several option for its use.
A-77 Booster Volcanic Ape
The only reason to buy Volcanic Ape is for the the SP (Defence Ring), which can be used in both survival and defence. The small "knobs" lend themselves well to spin stealing and the shape gives it good defence.
A-78 Booster Gaia Dragoon V
Gaia Dragoon V's SG Metal Flat Base 2 is one of the best BB for attack, unlike rubber bases, Metal Flat Base 2 is slower and not powerful, but being metal, it has more stamina.
A-81 Booster Dranzer V2
Dranzer V2 is quite a useful beyblade to own. Firstly, the AR has some upper attack however it should be noted that both Upper Dragon and Triangle Wing have more upper attack. The SP is vital to both survival and defence types. The 4 knobs lend themselves to spin stealing and due to the extreamly circular shape, is a decent defensive part.
A-82 Booster Burning Kerberous
Bearing Core 2 is one of the best survival parts created. It can hold 2 bearings so when hit, it can regain balance easily because of this. The core has very high endurance when shot with a straight shoot and can even outspin Wolborg's Bearing Core.
A-85 Booster Draciel V2
Draciel V2 is worthwhile purchase for the SP, Fin Tector. In attack mode, Fin Tector has more smash than any other SP.
Uriel 2
Uriel 2's BB is the fastest and strongest BB for attack created. The tip is made of rubber and is around the width of Grip Flat Core (Ultimate Version). When used with Fin Tector and Triple Wing, it is the best attack type. However, the BB is prone to breaking and is very hard to find as it released in a random booster.
A-89 Starter Dragoon G
Whilst the rest of the bey is neglected, Eight Spiker has the best smash for left spin attackers. Unlike alot of useful AR's this is by far the easiest to obtain, and the most affordable.
A-94 Booster Driger G
Driger G's Triple Tiger has both good smash and upper attack. Whilst it's smash doesn't compare to Triple Wing's, nor does its upper compare to upper Upper Dragon, it cannot be argued the AR is still one of the strongest and is a worthwhile purchase.
A-95 Booster Metal Driger
Metal Driger is one of the best beys to purchase for attack and defence. The prized part of this bey is undoubtabley the Heavy Metal Core (HMC). The advantages of using this in attack is that it signifcantly redudces recoil; for defence it increases weight, making it harder to KO. It is adviced to buy multiples of this bey.
Important note: Hasbro realesed this beyblade without a HMC and replaced it with a EG, rendering this bey useless.
A-117 Booster Dranzer GT
Dranzer GT's Triangle Wing is one of the most powerful AR's for upper attack. The design is similar to Upper Dragon, however it is worth noting that Upper Dragon is better in right spin, however, Triangle Wing is better for left spin.
Accessories
#19 EZ Launcher Grip
Some of it is preference, some of it is comfort. Most players tend to use these if they can.
Stadia
These are essential. Without a stadium you can’t really use your Beyblades. When considering your purchases you should definitely make sure you budget for one of these very soon. While it’s good to have one or two Beyblades for tournaments or playing with them at another person’s house/stadium, this should be a top priority acquisition.
A-93 BeyStadium Attack Type (Tornado Type)
This is possibly the most balanced stadium created. For testing or battling competitively, this is the best stadium to buy.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Deikailo - Aug. 23, 2011
You missed Seaborg, Driger V2, Driger S, Smash Turtle, Bearing Stinger, Wide Survivor, Wide Defense, Death Driger (for HMC), Blizzard Orthoros (Takara), and Zeus (Takara)
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Blitz Unicorno - Aug. 23, 2011
Driger S is already there. Death Driger (Metal Driger) too is there.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Deikailo - Aug. 23, 2011
That list is very hard to read without bolding names... You might want to put the reasons why in spoilers.
Why would you recommend Draciel F when it is just a suck version of Draciel S? Also, Driger G is not worth buying if you're already buy Driger V2, Trygle, or Dragoon G. Also, Driger F is not the best choice for attack.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Blitz Unicorno - Aug. 23, 2011
The reason for why did I put it in spoilers? Because it was very long.
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Poseidon - Aug. 23, 2011
thanks blitz unicorno, greatly appericated. Is the presenation betternow would anyone say? Anyway doing wide defence and survivor, seaborg and bearing stinger
RE: What to buy in Plastics - Blitz Unicorno - Aug. 23, 2011
It is pretty time wasting to open all the spoilers, I'd rather have the bey's name bolded than that.
