Hello, I'm posting this thread as somewhat of a repost, a while ago I posted a similar thread when I saw interest in this idea, I'd like to see if this still would be possible or maybe exist as a side event during normal tournaments.

There are no plans to make a 3D Printed or Modded Bey Format for the WBO any time soon due to how complicated the ruleset is and because endorsing the use of 3D Printed Beys in such a way would be treading in dangerous waters.

I said in the post you replied to that it could be a side event at normal tournaments, after posting it I realized that this would be a better option as it could be set up to where people could just bring their beys and they could be battled for fun, not ranked or anything, the only reason that i think this would need to be accepted by the staff would be that the organizer could add something to their tournament page that would alert participants that there would be an option to battle any 3-d printed beys.

Ah, in that case, the best option would be to include that in your proposal like you said and see if it gets approved.
This would make me a lot more enticed to actually go to tournaments and keep designing beys. I imagine it would also open up 3D design to a lot more people and make 3D beyblade design a more viable side gig.

And, people would have a way to test out their bey in a more "official" way.
ok we first need rules for the 3D printed tournaments so you can make a proposal
like a layer weight limit so whats the heaviest layer weight?
and that the bey can be a bey never seen before but it has to be of an existing layer system

its not like imma have a 3D printer to make a bey but then I might buy one online
Imagine people with their own beys and their own parts battling each other with unique gimmicks just like in the anime where people can make their own beys and parts
(but we have to make some and by some I mean a ton of rules)

I have made rules in the past but, they weren't good.
it would be nice but their would have to be restrictions to the format
maybe you can rename the thread to rules discussion where we could discuss the rules for a possible future format
I could try and help come up with some rules, me and a friend have always wanted 3D printed tournaments.

I agree with this. The WBO has become big enough to be tangled with Official companies. Making 3D printed tournaments official is dangerous as we could easily land in a sticky situation as 3D printed tournaments do not benefit the official companies.
However side friendly play should be allowed as it has no official affiliations.

sure
lets hear them and discuss them
I would like to make rules for 3D printed battles too!
who wanna make a possible 3-d format rule discussion thread?
i would but i don't know the first thing bout it though and i don't have 3-d printed beys

Would we have to get permission for that? I know the mods can be strict about discussion threads relating to beyblade so I just wanna make sure ^^’

they have to allow us to make a thread for the rules to then maybe allow us to make a petition to THEN
MAYYBEE allow the format

edit: (which they wont cause there might be some problems but maybe not an offical format, maybe like a format within burst standard)
Here are the rules that were made a while ago with a few modifications:

Don’t have too much or too little weight (no exact weights yet)

Disks can be TT or Hasbro, no 3-D printed disks

Driver can be 3-D printed or TT

No custom weights

ALL disks, weights, chassis, and other normally metal are required to be TT

If you have a custom system it has to be reviewed to make sure it doesn't give an unfair advantage (like, not bursting)

No official pieces are to be modified or customized

All layers are to be 3-D printed (Sparking Rings, Chip Cores and Chips, GT Bases and Chips)

Before a battle the organizer (or whoever is keeping watch over the 3-d printed battles) has to inspect beys to make sure they will not break during battle (I'm saying this from experience)
which is sad
