1. Parents aren't going to want to spend $20 on beys that aren't compatible with what they already own
2. Comp bladers such as myself aren't going to want to buy beys that we can't test and experiment with
Making the point of "if they aren't compatible, people will want to buy to get more parts" is possible, but It'd be more of an obligation and less of a "I want to buy this" situation. If you give them the ability to mix it with old stuff, people are going to buy the new ones to see how they work with old stuff and not because they want to rebuild thier competitive collection. Also it will take away from the main series more if they aren't compatible. If I were in favor of them being not compatible, I would say "why would I buy the other stuff when it's not gonna help the pro stuff?". It will divide the hasbro player base and lead to more people ignoring the main series stuff for the pro series. Like heck I'd buy all the pro beys just to see how they would do on Br. Now unless the make more potent beys, it won't be worth it to get into this new series a lot of current viable hasbro stuff is better anyway. I can totally see parents not wanting to buy pro because they know they don't work and they don't want to buy all the pro beys. Like many parents didn't want to buy nerf ultra after I explained that they aren't compatible and that they're going to have to buy new darts to use them. A compatible pro series may be a bit of an investment on the parent's part, but if they know their child can mix them with what they have, they'll be fine with spending the extra money for a "special occasion toy". Short sightedly, yes, incompatibility makes sense, but if you look long term, you're going to make so many more people happy and excited to buy pro.

Think about it like this, I’m a new Blader right and I go to the store and see a pro Beyblade and slingshock Beyblade, of course I’m going to pick the pro one. If pro doesn’t have too much beys I see no reason as to buy anything but pro because it’s better.

Interesting find, the pro series works with the fake drivers just fine. I think this might be due to the height of the teeth on the driver being a couple of millimeters off.
Just because the Pro one says Pro doesn't mean yo gotta buy it. What if Slingshock looks for intriguing to you? What if your not looking for a competitive but casual playstyle. Also pther lines having more beys would draw me to them because there is much more.

That's not a good thing lol. Hasbro: the only company that's compatible with fakes. And here's the thing, if they choose pro over regular, and it's not compatible, they won't want to buy other stuff. And if they find the WBO and see that people are saying how slingshock tips and stuff are really good, they're going to be dissapointed that they can't mix them with the pro stuff.

I don't have to buy it, but if I would want to buy it! That's the problem is that if they were compatible, I would buy them! I doubt hasbro is gonna be happy that a ton of people aren't going to buy the new pro series. Are you not going to buy it if they have slopes?

Well yeah, there will be plenty of people who will pass on this series. You can express your distaste but in the end of the day complaining at spinning top toy forums won't get your point across, not buying the product will. However I personally would use a different example instead of compatibility. Lots of people like me don't really see that as a complete reason not to buy it. Something a lot worse would be the teeth wearing. Also to answer your final question, I personally am going to buy these regardless. Fixing the teeth seems like a very easy thing to do so I personally believe even with supporting these waves they can still improve.

I mean, its not like they tried to be compatible with fakes. Plenty of fake pieces I have are compatible with by TT beys.
I made a quick video documenting the tooth wear.  It runs about 11 1/2 minutes.  It’s a bit long because it is from unboxing to one tooth starting to show signs of wear straight through.   There is no reason to watch it at normal speed if anyone for any reason decides to watch it.  I just want to show that this really does happen and hopefully this can be improved upon by Hasbro.

Edit:
A day or so later I found this after making the teeth wear video,

That piece use to be this:

So iirc superrobotking made a comment before talking about me getting a durometer to test before I was confused but I wanted to check it out, so if you want the simple answer to the pro series problem that has plagued these layers, Hasbro is using a weaker plastic compared to the original Takara Tomy release. Because of that reason they do not have the same durability that TT has.

So there's the answer for right now, it's up to hasbro to use stronger materials with making these beys and not taking shortcuts.
Well we've known that for a bit.

thx for the info zankye
i can just say the new Metal Drivers would actually make the teeth non-existent the moment you put the bey together.
I have all the Pro Series beys, and their exactly like TT

except the teeth wear down after putting them together several times.

TBH, should do a video on it.

Metal drivers aren’t meant to be put onto regular beys.

I got this from my Zwei review of Wave 2 but yeah Pro Series Wave 2 still has teeth problems, didn't touch judgement or phoenix yet so don't know

Aye! Hasbro back with the dysfunctional products!
Is pro series even worth it at this point at this point.. This is just another big L in Hasbros book.

Not really, but the big disappointing thing is it's exactly what us fans have been wanting since turbo, but just massively messed up

I don't recall if my Judgement review showed it really close up but yeah Judgement has wearing issues.
The Pro Series is garbage.
This is what could and should be referred to as an oof moment

M8, they beys literally don't work! Why are you so intent on defending hasbro's bad decision here? I don't understand, like hasbro screwed up here, why is it so hard to admit?

i just dont understand why-- oh. i was gonna say they shouldmake teeth outta metal. no thats too expensive.

I don’t doubt it at all. And keep in mind that Zankye also had this same issue even if it was accidental, it does not make it ok. Also keep in mind, in the nerf community, Hasbro released an elite 2.0 line of blasters that 1. Were solvent welded together so you can’t open them, Blasters, that were super easy to break and had bad quality parts
