Have you ever study law?
I mean it's OK to share pic which TT released officially.
But magazine there is copyright and it shouldn't spread.
Do you have common sense? SupaDav03

Even so your claim about going to jail is wrong.
Isn't there decent people here?

I know I’m not one of those decent people
Whatever the legal repercussions are for posting leaked images, the simple solution is to not post them here or on the WBO Discord. If someone does post them, chances are that there will be a Moderator online to take it down before it can become a problem. Just be careful what you guys post and everything will be fine.

If SD03 (I’m just shortening it, but let me know if you’d rather not be called that) didn’t have common sense, then how did they become a staff member? And, you’re not going to prison, only paying a fine, at most. SD03 is right, and I suggest you stop being rude, because you were barely let back into the WBO.

Keep in mind that a lot of the people here aren’t in Japan, so the law may be different. Thanks for sharing where your logic and thoughts were coming from though, it makes it much more understandable.

Well most of us don’t live in Japan. You should’ve specified that you were talking about Japan.

Dang, that’s a lot of money. Although last time I checked it was $150,000 max (but then again that was a google search).

Thanks. I really don’t want to go through this entire block of text Smile
BTW, Who pay that much fine for 6$ magazine?
Seeing as most of the leaks are from minors, they’d probably let us go with a warning, maybe some monitoring afterwards.

I think Hyperion is going to have xceed’ and Helios Zone+/metal
I know I’m new here, and an old man... But here we go...

I am trained and educated in Constitutional Law here in the US and don’t know of any cases where a “leak” was considered a copyright infringement. The only situation it would be copyright infringement related to this site would be YouTube and other monetized sites attached to postings due to the possibility of making money off of said post. In the case of the average person on this forum, their posts shouldn’t be making any money, thus are considered “Free Speech” under the law. I normally wouldn’t say anything, but I am passionate and have been an arbiter of the law throughout my adult life and take it very seriously, so passing on some knowledge to people who may fear things they should not is important to me.

If anyone knows of a case involving a forum, or if somehow people are making money via posts here, then I would be intrigued to hear that argument and learn from your sharing.

To put this into account, if it were copyright infringement to post a “leak” then it would be infringement to post pictures of Corocoro or materials after the product comes out as well.

All of that said, I AM NOT providing law services via this post NOR know the laws outside of the USA, but as an American citizen you would fall under US law, not the infringement law of other nations (Not over posts anyway).

Don’t fear the law too much, at least here in the US freedom is amazing when it comes to education and sharing.

Cheers all!

You were a little bit late. We’re discussing this Beyblade release now. If you’re here just to discuss the law I would recommend debate.org not the WBO. If you’re here to discuss beyblade, then a warm welcome to our humble community

I was trying to bring it back on subject. My opening may sound harsh, but the username is reminiscent to that of a spambot so I was trying not to take any risks. Besides CheetoBlader settled that debate beforehand.

Actually yes, I have studied the law as I’ve worked in both the Compliance and a
Advertising dept at American Express, my current employer.

Generally the “Fair Use Law” covers most reposting on social media. So while theoretically it COULD happen, it is hardly, if ever pursued once the official announcement/picture/release has gone public.

Leaks are 100% prohibited and if you’d like to be extra cautious, share the pictures AFTER release in a private way (email, direct messages, etc).

Anyways...let’s not derail this thread any further speaking about something off topic.

And please do not direct negative comments to other posters or staff. Disagreements can be had without resulting to personal comments about people. That can lead to warning % as it’s a violation of WBO rules.

PS: I just wanted to add that we LOVE your contributions to the site - so keep those great post coming (within the rules, of course 👍🏼)
