So I've been debating with this guy whether Kenta is the real main character or Gingka. He keeps insisting it's Gingka and its getting annoying. So I'm asking, who really is the main character? Is it Kenta or Gingka?

Well, I don't want to completely dismiss your opinions, but Ginga/Gingka was obviously the main protagonist of the Metal Fight Saga.
Kenta was introduced as something akin to a plot point, him being seen as pretty strong as a local Blader (after doing well in a local tournament), but is completely outshone by Ginga after his confrontation with the Face Hunters. From there, the series followed Ginga's narrative, not Kenta's.
Furthermore, why else would Metal Masters focus completely on Ginga and his team while Kenta wasn't even on it, or why Ginga is always the one to save the day in the end.
And lastly, it's obvious Ginga was the main character in the work due to the role he played in Zero G/Shogun Steel. Whereas Kenta did not appear in the work save for an epilogical slideshow (that wasn't even featured in the dub).
So, while the show begins with Kenta and he has his impressive moments of development, it is clearly centered around Ginga Hagane.

Gingka was the main protagonist of Metal Saga. But I can see how Kenta can be a main protagonist, but that is not the case. Kenta is just a recurring character in Metal Masters/Fury. Until he got a big role in the end.
For sure Ginkga, I mean, he’s the first character you see in the theme song, his bey was the first to get a remake, and he is the guy that beats the antagonists in each season of metal fight (except zero G)

As well as these points, Gingka got a bit of background: a father, old friends, explantation of how he got his Beyblade, etc. As far as I recall Kenta doesn't have much information about him prior to the start of MFB. Does Kenta even have parents?
Well yeah, its Gingka. He's the primary protagonist. But I can argue two characters that were just as important as him in certain seasons: Masamune in Metal Masters and Kenta in Metal Fury. Not the protagonist, but protagonists that were pretty close.
Kenta was always the underdog in season 1 and couldn't even make it to the Top 4 of the Tournament to be a representative for Team Gan Gan Galaxy. But he kept trying throughout both seasons and even helped out the United Beyblade Alliance against Hades (sorry, I really needed a name for that lol). In Metal Fury, Gingka was the leader of the plot, but Kenta was undergoing a lot of character growth: leaving the team, choosing to follow Ryuga of all people, improving to take on people he stood no chance against like Tsubasa and GIngka and doing pretty well, fighting back against Ryuga when his mentor went a bit too cocky, and Ryuga's trust in him was the reason he ended up becoming a Legendary Blader. And thanks to him, they would've completely beat Nemesis had Pluto's bey not interfered. And Kenta deserves props from stopping Pluto from helping Rago in the battle. Plus Sagittario was the first Star Fragment Gingka used in the one-on-one finale against Nemesis.
Then there's Masamune. His whole dream was to be at the top of the world with Toby and Zeo, beat Gingka, and while Gingka was mostly defending his title and having his rivals, Masamune had just as much issues. Overcoming his pride against Nile and Chao Xin, proving himself to Klaus, stopping team Louvska's cheating from behind the scenes, and even though he lost, he had the final arc mostly centered around how he lost Toby and Zeo as a result of his impulsiveness and their jealously at him. Plus while Gingka and Ryuga were busy destroying the Spiral city's core, Masamune worked with his former friend to bring Faust/Toby back to the light. A lot of the key character dynamics in Masters centered around the Unicorn Striker.
Huh, Masamune and Sisco kinda...nah.
