Anyone else kind of excited to check out the Hypersphere Beys? I think its definitely a step in the wrong direction for Hasbro but after watching some videos with the new stadium it seems like it might be a ton of fun. What's everyone else's opinion on it? Any ideas if this just means Hasbro is completley unviable for competitive now, especially with TT GT being such an improvement already?

I would say it’s better than slingshock but it’s kind of a shame that hasbro stepped away from competitive
It does look interesting, but like you said,
“It’s a step in the wrong direction”
Hasbruh has been spiraling out of control into the abyss of Mehh starting with turbo...

They need to reflect on previous successes, such as the Evolution series, which was imo, (though it was quite inferior to TakaraTomy’s God Layers) the best series of burst Hasbruh released

I'd say it's worse than slingshock. Yeah sure the gimmick is cooler, but you can't switch between hypersphere and normal mode like you can with turbo. On top of that, the discs are now completely different meaning that I don't even have a reason to buy Hasbro anymore. It's honestly just really sad that instead of just buying what I want in stores I have to hassle around the entire internet looking for an actual legit beyblade.

I agree, I remember going to a place like target and finding SwitchStrike beys that were sometimes better than the TT counterparts and now Hasbro has tried way to hard to add a gimmick
All these new ice cream cone lookin’ drivers still ain’t got nuffin on Yard-s... that alone makes rise inferior
Lol

Yeah this is the main thing I'm worried about. I know I'll get bored of the gimmick very fast and be left with a useless bey. Hopefully there are some half decent layers to play around with customization. How are the discs completely different?
I bought the Vertical Drop battle set but haven’t opened it yet. I was honestly more curious about the stadiums than the beys. Right now I’m a little disappointed with hypersphere but I’m willing to give it a chance.

The Vertical Drop Beystadium is fun regardless if it's used for Hypersphere or non-Hypersphere Beyblades.  Downside is that it might make some Beyblades with frames scrape but attack type Beyblades can swoop in for some big attacks and defense type Beyblades can counter fairly well.  Stamina Beyblades in the stadium tend to trip themselves up since they function best when on level ground and can trip up fairly easily in the stadium.  I like to use my Plastic Gen remakes since it sometimes reminds me of the arenas in the first series.  Best part about it is that it reminds me of a Skate Park; The Beyblade Tony Hawk Underground Beystadium.

Discs like Blitz have had their plastic parts removed in order to make them compatible with disc frames. And they also are missing a lot of weight too.
I agree with the whole fun part, but competitively they suck. Hypersphere laters don’t have metal (like turbo) and hypersphere tips are already banned because of lad issues. Maybe there should be an all hypersphere tournament because when they fight against each other they are balanced.
They are fun and can be improved by using their drivers with GT parts

The driver is the only defining part of the rise beyblades

You can’t mix TT with hasbro besides discs. So no TT layers with drivers and vice versa.
I won't be buying any of the beys but the orange stadium looks really fun

For fun purposes outside of tournament settings, mixing Hasbro drivers with TT layers won’t damage either of the parts.
The only thing I am interested in using is the vertical drop stadium and the associated drivers. I will use TT parts for everything else.

I have wizard fafnir and am interested to see how it would do in vertical drop

I would expect a lot of self-bursting running into the floor or walls... which is probably why hasbruh "wizard fafnir" doesn't have rubber.

I’ve seen slopes wear down after using TT drivers on Hasbro layers

That’s different from what he said. Just don’t mix the parts at all, even TT layers with drivers.

Yeah I never do since I know it’s both illegal and can cause damage

I would be interested to see a hypersphere tournament with some custom stadiums. I feel like there is a lot of potential for making different bowl shapes causing different effects in battle and riding the rails. That and the whole skatepark vibe really makes me want to make a tech deck style skate bowl for beyblade battles. I'm going to find any good out of this hasbro release that i can in spite of it being super disappointing.
I will probably pick up a rise bey just to give it a shot. But so far i dig the Turbo beys

yeah

i think hypersphere beyblades would be kinda fun... but i think they are trying to give competitive to Takara-Tomy
To be honest I'm skipping the Hypersphere line. The gimmick is really boring, the drivers are the ugliest and the GT features are missing. Discs are also terrible (lightweight).
I'll only buy Takara Tomy beys from now on until Hasbro releases beys on par with TT.
