Thanks again to all the organizers, juges, and participants for another fun tournament!

This time I made it to the finals, but got defeated in the Quarterfinals. Raymond911 managed to thwart my deck with a really good combo. He did the same to Hello321! Wombat was able to defeat it with his own deck.

A couple of notes on the tournament:

- Unlike Burst Standard, Classic is always getting new innovations. There are so many layers which are competitive and viable in the format. It's just a better format than Standard, honestly.

- Too many people register for tournaments without reading and understanding the rules. There were a couple of bladers who showed up and didn't have legal parts. And we're at the point where the judges and organizers have had bladers walk away with loaned parts so many times that we just can't anymore. We don't know how to make the rules any more clear; maybe a video? But then people won't watch it. It's actually kind of demoralizing to us.

- Don't underestimate Hasbro parts and tips. They will surprise you.

- Once again I have to ask that non-participating bladers stop asking judges questions in the middle of a match. Participating bladers, please complete your match as quickly as possible. Judges, please focus on the match you are judging. There were numerous situations yesterday where people's heads just weren't in the game.

- The fake parts showing up in Classic is high as always. If you order on Amazon or eBay and don't know what to look for, you can wind up with fakes. Apparently even Walmart will sell you fakes if you're not careful. Fake layers, fake tips, fake discs, fake launchers, even fake handles. Yes, fake handles are banned; we can't confirm whether or not they bestow any kind of advantage, they're untested. No, don't get mad at the judges when they tell you to stop using those parts.

- We judges need to pay closer attention! There was at least one match where TT tips were combined with Hasbro layers, and the judge didn't catch it. Bladers should always have a look at their opponent's bey and launcher as well to see if fakes or illegal combos are involved.

- It's kind of annoying when a blader uses a valid classic combo during one match, and then several matches later tries to use a banned number disc on their combo. I'm just lucky I'm good at checking the beys before each match. But it's getting to the point where we're going to have to start considering penalties for such behavior, malicious or not.

- 45 people registered for the tournament! 29 people ended up participating. Around 4 of them didn't have parts, but numerous others were just no-shows. This tournament hit its cap, too, and people who wanted to attend didn't because it looked full. Don't think for one second that we aren't keeping records of people who are bailing on tournaments; action will be taken if this continues.

- EDIT: I forgot the most important note of all. When you click a launcher, when you turn it to the point where it makes clicking noises, that sound is you forcing one internal gear to go the wrong way, damaging two years, and it is the sound of you causing damage to that launcher. If it's your own launcher, break it all you want; it's your loss and no one else's. But if you _borrow_ a launcher from someone else and then click it? You are intentionally damaging someone else's Beyblade equipment and you are being a terrible person. You shouldn't do it to your own equipment, and you must not do it to equipment you are borrowing!

In short, I love Classic format, but it's a tremendous stressful pain in the butt to organize or judge a tournament of that format.
