Hi!

I'm an old fan of Beyblade, having collected and played with both the original plastic and the later metal series as a kid. I recently found my small collection of metal Beyblades in my basement (the plastics are long gone, sadly) and rediscovered my interest. While searching around on the internet to see what Beyblade is like now, I stumbled upon this site.

I'm currently considering whether to get into Burst- leaning toward yes. I really like some of the newer designs, and now that I'm an adult with a job I can afford to get some Takara Tomy ones if I decide to. It seems like there's a decent all-ages community these days too, which is something I wasn't aware of.

Anyway, it's nice to meet you all!
Welcome to the wbo, if you have any questions please feel free to ask!
welcome! The Burst designs are unique for the most part, but some Beys take inspiration from Plastic and Metal Beys. There are Layers that are made to look exactly like Dragoon S, Dragoon F, Dranzer S, Dranzer F, Driger S, Driger F, Draciel S, Draciel F, Wolborg, Gaia Dragoon, Storm Pegasis, Lightning L-Drago, Rock Leone, Flame Saggitario, and Earth Aquila. Then, there's Heaven Pegasus that takes inspiration from Torch Pegasus. I like the concept of bringing back old designs, whether they're remakes or just take inspiration, and I think you might appreciate them even more because you were around for the Plastic Gen days. Also, a very important recommendation. Get mostly Takara Tomy Beys because they're better quality than Hasbro Beys, Hasbro releases Beys about a half year later, and also Hasbro messes up pretty frequently by not including metal on most of the Cho-Z/Turbo Beys and changing some Drivers up drastically just to pull off a gimmick that only works with a specific type of stadium.
Thanks for the info! Yeah, I've heard that Hasbro hasn't done a great job with the newer Burst stuff, so definitely looking at TT

I have yet to switch to burst too. I’m in the same boat I work full time now and just got back into it. Go to burst but don’t quit using metal fight beyblades! Metal fights primarily what I’m into until the next series of Beyblade comes out if there is one.
