I hope everyone's managing well with their course load so far.
Pace yourselves and remember to take well earned breaks~
Im in school right now just chilling
Oh yeah, I just started my freshman year a couple weeks ago, and so far, it's not too bad but I mean it could be better, at-least I've found a few friends who share some similar interests like me... but the sad thing is that like 90% of the students in my school either don't watch anime or have no clue what it is, big oof. (But seriously, what did they do over their summer? Just go on Tiktok everyday? (I don't use social media, in fact, I don't even have social media!) All of my classes are honors this year as well since I'm in the "STAT" program. It's basically a program for students who really want to go into an engineering field or biomedical field, It's cool ig since you do get a nice 30 minute break after second block thanks to the travel bus system.

Here's the rundown of my everyday schedule-

X Day:
Physical Education
Spanish II & III
(This is where I take the travel bus to go my "secondary" school right after second block.)
Lunch (After I arrive at my secondary school.)
Introduction to Engineering Design and lastly...
Honors English Uncertain

Y Day:
Concert Band (I might do Marching Band soon honestly.)
Spanish II & III once again.
(Travel Bus shenanigans go here)
Lunch
Honors Geometry (Ah yes, my "favorite" subject..!)
Earth Science Honors

PS: High School is... different than what I'd thought it would be, not as evil or "horrible" as my siblings told me it would be, huh, maybe it's because everyone's still trying to get used to being in school again.
i got angry with my math teacher today because she moved me to a seat and then somebody asked me for a pencil and i was talking to them because i didn’t have an extra pencil. so i talk to the teacher after class about what happened and she starts yelling at me because i shouldn’t be talking after i told her twice that i was helping my friend getting a pencil. (now everyone in this class already hates this teacher) so then i get angry since she’s yelling at me and i’m talking to her nicely so i angrily say, “then next time i won’t help my friends when they ask for help if that’s what your saying” walk away and put up my hands angrily. i was walking and my friend says “she’s after you” and so i start speed walking away to go home. what should i do cuz i know i will probably be in trouble tomorrow

To avoid getting in trouble, you should apologize to the teacher and say sorry sincerely. But that’s if you want to get her off your back. If you don’t care if she’s angry at you, just don’t talk to the teacher 1 on 1, but don’t apologize. Cause if you talk to the teacher by yourself more, she might get mad and get the principal to talk to you.

i’m not talking to her. everyone hates her except like the teachers pet. i told my mom and i complain about her everyday so she is going to email her because everyday when my parents ask how was school today i say “good, except math tho” tbh hope she stays mad
Maybe you should inform one of the higher ups if she treats most students unfairly, perhaps they'll do something about it. It's what they did at my high school.

I dont think Teachers are supposed to chase after their students. If it escalates then i would probably tell a higher up like a counselor or a principal

Even though Im in an advanced English class, Im going to admit that I hate English

I have an incredibly hard time explaining my feelings and in extension, distinguishing the tones/purpose of writers and narrators. Writing an essay is hard because I dont know how to explain how I feel, and teachers criticize me for not explaining in brief. I sometimes write too many sentences on something that can be explained quickly, because I cannot explain my thoughts in one whole piece. And questions like “what is the narrator’s tone?” is hard because I cant tell if theyre sarcastic or mad, etc. I personally find English class super hard to me

Im going to say its a miracle Im in advanced English classes at all. I never really told people my predicament, but yes, I do have a hard time — some of you can probably tell because my messages here might be unclear/vague or all over the place (its because I dont know to explain my thoughts)
Thanks for liking my post legendjustice

i have agree here. i have to write a stupid poem for a project about myself and it sucks because ive never written a poem in my life, much less about myself. I miss last year English as it was easy and i had a nice teacher. this year i have neither.
I just did my Year 11 subject selections over the phone, and it was literally 10 minutes of my dreams being crushed over and over again, as the music and computer classes aren't running at all, and I have a really small chance of getting into the Japanese class. I ended up picking a bunch of subjects that I hate.

Dang, that really does suck. Personally, I have always been in university/academic level English classes (The Canadian equivalent of honors and advanced) and done incredibly well without much effort. In fact, it was so easy for me that I could casually procrastinate till the last day an assignment was due and still pretty much complete it with a 90. However, the important thing to note is that I was genuinely very interested and naturally adaptive to English. We all have our subjects that we are good at and those we find hard. In my particular case, I struggle with biology. I am not very interested in the subject nor am I a natural at memorization and communication.
