Mariah or Hikaru
Mariah is just really adorable, while Hikaru is just pretty to some extent. Either way, I like them both lol

Hikaru is really cool, and a really strong blader too

Yeah, I really like Hikaru too

I'm coming for all of you. Jk. Hikaru was like the only good part in MFB. And not just because of her looks, she had a good backstory too.

How? This is just a normal discussion. I'm assuming you've never seen a debate over anime waifus.

Hikaru, Madoka, and Ren. Cool, reliable, and fun.
Gumita's nice too in a quiet tsundere way.

Wow, I did not expect Hikaru to be this popular and TBH... I don't get the appeal of her as a character. Don't get me wrong, if you like her then that's great but for me, she felt like wasted potential. Time for a boring and petty rant of mine, wooooosh!!!
Spoiler (Click to View)
She had an interesting backstory and it was pretty unique to have a major female blader with a unique bey but I really hated how she's never won a single battle against major opponents after losing to Kenta (no, amateur nobodies don't count) considering her drive to win had potential. I'm not expecting a major arc for her, considering she's just a side-character but that's no excuse to make her so pathetic in battles.
And worst of all, she quit blading and became an assistant... which felt like a huge slap to my face. I know she's emotionally fragile at the worst of times so her natural response was to quit but I hated that the only major female blader in the first MFB series get thrown away. Oh and I know someone is going to say "Well, she quit blading because she doesn't want to unleash the dark power like Tsubasa did" and to that I say, they should have executed that reason better. Because you see, she quit before she knew the dangers of being infected by the dark powers and her quitting was way before Tsubasa unleashed his dark side. If she had quit blading after Tsubasa unleashed it then I can understand her having second thoughts and quitting for her own safety.
Look, I know she's well-liked with the fanbase and that's absolutely fine. But for me though, I can't stand her. She's alright at best and a huge wasted potential at worst. I will say her finest moment was when she unleashed Wind Aquario again and defeated HD Academy bladers (even if they're just worthless foot soldiers), it was pretty cool and refreshing.
Weirdly enough, even though I don't like Hikaru that much, I like Ren as a character more, despite suffering the same issues as Hikaru. She at least became more of a badass later on and helped her friends in their hour of needs.

I feel like a girl in the lead four would make a better protagonist and allegedly its been done and I found it somewhere on the wiki but I need to double check. Wait, Original trilogy had like 13 female balders, Metal had 6, and Burst has 4?

I don't think I've ever said that you couldn't. Of course you can still like a character in spite of their wasted potential, like I liked Kyle from Cho-Z, even though he was wasted potential overall. It's just with Hikaru, I had a lot of hope with her character and I wanted to see her succeed in the end (without being an assistant) but she just didn't click with me, with how her quitting was executed.

Absolutely! I think that's a really good idea that they could've used in order to keep Hikaru more interesting.

There are no girls in burst that have there own distinctive beyblade, they just have random combos
Jun. 17, 2019 5:11 AM
Despite them only having combos, the Burst girls as a whole are still my favorites... I can't pick.

Hey Sasha doesn't have her own unique bey (I'd like to see a serious take at a Stamina Gaia(non)), but she's still a likeable character who actually won a battle in the main tournament and wasn't a prick. Looking at you Queen. Yeah I know I've seen/remember the original and V-Force the least so when I saw 46 subbed, I was like Queen, King, the heck is wrong with y'all.
I hope Ichika's become slightly better than Sasha. Right now she's a weird mix of Sasha and Gumita.
