It's not TT, but it sure is more anime-accurate than TT has ever been xD. All jokes aside, I'm glad that Freeplay is going to be so big because of all the time people have to wait between matches!
Il bring my mod bey staduim no walls XD
I will be able to bring a legal TT stadium
I have a decagone stadium too BUDDIES

I say the bigger the stadium the better
I’m exited once again

Wait is there a rain date for the rain date?
What if the participant cap was 45, so all of the waiting list Bladers could join and not be a huge difference from the original 40.
WEATHER UPDATE: Important information! Please fill out survey below!

Hey everyone,

As some as you may have seen, there is rain in the forecast again for this sunday May 5, 2019.  I'd rather not postpone this tournament and would like your input oh how to move forward.

Right now, There are two options I am thinking of:

Option 1: Change Date to Saturday, May, 4th, 2019 and play on a clear sunny day.

Option 2: Keep the same date, Sunday, May 5th 2019 and play rain or shine.

I know both options are not ideal as many of you have cleared schedules for Sunday and many of you may not like the idea of playing in the rain, getting soaked, and possibly getting valuables wet, but I would like this tournament to happen and not keep you all waiting.

Please make your choice heard by filling out this survey below:

Empire City Strikes Back Date Survey: https://forms.gle/XAJZeJZXKfiJphYH6

I will close the survey Friday 3:30 PM EST and give you guys an update at 4:00 PM EST.

Let's hope for the best,

LazerBeamz
I think the lesson we've all learned here is never to host a tournament without some sort of covered building or structure so you can play without getting rained on.

While that would be great in an ideal world, we can't expect orgainzers to be able to have those accomodations. Most of the time, spaces like those require a fee or some kind of reservation (like most places in NYC) or are just not available options. Those who have free access to places like those (say Havertown for example) are lucky to have them. Never hosting a tournament without those accommodations would seem pretty elitist to me and alienate potential organizers who may not have resources to host with an indoor/ covered alternative. If I remember correctly, the WBO is a voluteer organization and we shouldn't expect organizers shell out to make sure they have an indoor/ covered place to play. The real lesson is, sometimes, things don't always go as planned and there is only so much you can control with the resources you have.

Either date works with me, I’m free all weekend.
Can it just be Sunday
I've contacted you about a potential indoor venue in Brooklyn you could use for this or future events for free.

Wait so if it rains on both days we wait another week?

Thanks dude I want inside better
Aw shoot, looks like I missed my chance. Well at least next time. I hope it's at least in Montclair.
It seems like it's going to rain both days, so just in case the indoor alternative isn't used, is there going to be anything to protect the stadiums from getting wet?

I guess buy a tent that has a table and the tent over it so they don't get wet???

And he's. Right it's gonna rain on both days XD
UPDATE: Tournament date will not change. Empire City Strikes back will be held this Sunday, May 5th, 2019

Based on your feedback and responses to the survey, the date for this tournament will continue to be this Sunday, May 5th, 2019. That being said, please be prepared for on and off showers throughout the afternoon. There is a chance that these showers could pass, but come prepared for them just to be same.

Some of you expressed concerns about how stadiums will be protected. Judges will each have umbrellas and towels at their stadiums to keep stadiums dry.

Please plan to arrive by 11:30 AM so that we can get registration started as soon as possible.

Registration closes at 12:00 pm and the tournament will begin shortly after. The faster we can get the registration done, the quicker we can start the tournament.

EDIT: Also, if you do not have a Blader passport, please remember to bring 5 dollars for your admission fee. I have a limited amount of change I can break and having people run to go get cash seriously slows down the registration process.
