02) Keep on Going, Bushin Ashura!
イカすぜブシンアシュラ!
Ikasu ze Bushin Ashura!
April 12, 2019
Drum Koryu and Amane Kusaba's Battle. Faced with the strong defense of God of War Ashura's twelve blades, Ace Dragon's attack is sealed. Drum is caught in a trap, but with his determination to make Dragon into the greatest Bey Of Light, his fighting spirit burns ever brighter. But Ashura's special move, Hurricane Defense breaks Dragon's pattern of attack!
Note: from the manga it wasn't obvious "Ikasu ze" was going to be a catchphrase but anime version of Amane is already using it as one and the eptitles contrast Ikasu (Cool) vs Gachi (Serious)
You know what I'm surprised about? This trailer is standard length rather than 10 seconds like Zero G was.
I like the new girl. Hopefully she’s a blader.

Judging from the previous Burst series, she probably won't be. She'll probably be some lame cheerleader-type character like Nika or Honey.

That kid Drum looks so funny xD I love it
How come the episodes are like 15 minutes
It's much like back when Metal Fight Beyblade 4D's second half (26 half 13 full) and the first 19 (38 half) episodes of Zero G happened. Most likely VOD (Video On Demand) services in Japan will add the full 23 minute episodes of GT at some point.
Its confusing that they Shortend the length
English translated episode summary added to first post.
Hurricane Defense? Well, we know what that means. Probably just ED145 again.
I am In Japan.
VPN I mean.
This episode seemed to be much better than episode one which ended so abruptly that I forgot this season is shorter! Hopefully they'll continue to be as interesting as this if not more interesting further down the line.
This episode so far is AMAZING. It doesn't even feel short anymore!
Time to review the episode:
I gotta admit, being on Fridays as opposed to Mondays is taking a bit of getting used to be here we are. This episode was okay, I liked it more than the first one and this one doesn't have quite as many problems.
There's a segment where Drum talks to his beast, not much to say about that, just reminds me of Cho Z. So Amane fights second round, uses Bushin Guard to block Dragon. Dragon keeps hitting it around, and it looks like Ashura is going to lose. Then, Amane pulls an Orb Egis and does something that looks a bit like Quest Upper, where his bey wobbles and uses the Hurricane disk to deflect the bey, called Hurricane Defense, jeez really... somehow the Hurricane disk managed to redirect Dragon and slam it against the wall, that's certainly interesting. Ashura actually manages to win, so hurrah!
Drum for some reason passes out, presumably from exhaustion and has a flashback where he talks to Delta, okay I assume this is where he got his Dragon as he's showing it off but there's still no proper explanation, so who cares really. He wakes up and the man who's been watching them finds a picture of Drum as a little kid and recognised him as of now, so I guess he reveals himself as the uncle.
They go to the training building he has, where we see Amane, his little brother and that not-Zacs-sister character, oh by the way she's a blader but she's probably just got a generic bey. Well anyway Amane and Drum fight again and Ashura gets pushed back hard. Amane uses his new move... Keep Counte- okay seriously, now they're just reusing every clichéd Burst defense type names, oh well. Anyway Keep Counter really just charges back at Dragon normally so nothing much to it. Amane uses Hurricane Defense again and I gotta say, I love his beast design, it's way cooler than Dragon's Falcor looking design. Dragon uses it's Sting disk to bounce from the wall and charges, bursting Ashura. I guess Amane's win was short lived. So yeah I guess Drum is now part of the club.
So yeah the episode is okay, nothing special but I liked it better than the first, so we still have hope. Next episode might be interesting too.
I couldn’t tell if the Dragon beast was actually talking to Drum or not. Personally, I don’t like when the beasts actually talk to the bladers, like Achilles did to Aiga. I’d rather have the beast just kind of stare at the blader, and them get the message without words, like Valkyrie did with Valt in episode 49 or 50 (I think) of the God series. It just makes the connection feel more mystical, in my opinion.
They have a cat... OK,i changed my mind, best season ever.

I distinctly remember Valkyrie talking to Valt in the sub, and Valtyrek sounding completely creepy to Valt in the dub of the final Godvolution episode.

Huh, thought you were going to make a Hurricane Counter joke.
ETERNAL DEFENSE SPIN TRACK! I'm very disappointed I could not use that as a special move in Masters DS lol
For anyone that cares, the girls name is Kanemichi Ichika, her surname isn’t said in the episode but you can see it in the credits.
I really enjoyed this episode. Still unsure about Drum’s uncle. Also, I’m convinced that Dragon’s design was based around Zinogre from Monster Hunter.
Can’t wait till next Friday!
Edit: Edited her surname from Kinmichi to Kanemichi after realizing she has the same surname as Fumiya (my bad for thinking Kin instead of Kane. ^^; )

Ichika huh and if my memories Is correct we already have a bey that start with I yes I'm talking about ifrit. I know it won't happen but it would've been great if tt makes a ifrit gt bey. And have her owning it . Speaking of old beys I was thinking about fumiya tt also could've made a fenrir gt and let him owning it instead of fafnir , I'm not against him having fafnir but I think it would've been cooler imo.
