CONTEXT NOTES:

Idea of creating a visual identity for my alter ego, the superhero known as Panic.

I am known among my circle of friends as Panic. Some of these friends are in my English class, and all the time we right stories of our superhero forms saving the day to turn in as assignments.

The name Panic came from the fact that I started panic after I threw a dictionary across the room at someone who said "I hate Asians". Everyone panicked. Hence, Panic.

Panic's superpower is shooting laser-rific energy out of his arms. Channeling this energy through his sword allows the energy to be more concentrated into a fine point. Then, the sword can be swung, and the energy can be manipulated to gain extra range.

I had the idea of having Panic wear a kendo-like outfit/uniform. He has a sword on his back, but he never really uses it seriously.

I have too much of an imagination.

/context notes

I know it's not as great compared to other people's drawings. I do not draw human shaped figures very well.

Arms are flat. But, seeing as how it's an alter ego of myself, I kinda think it's fitting, seeing as how my arms are really thin and long (which is probably why the arms reach down to the middle of the legs area).

The bandage type of things on his chest are.. Fillers. I don't know what else to use to make the chest area seem less empty.

There's some excess of his sash-like piece of clothing hanging down.

The helmet I like the most. Maybe, if I tried a different perspective it would have more shape and curves.

There's also a little logo on the chest.

The uniform of Panic will change over time as I come up with better drawings.

The middle figure is random gibberish. Ignore. The one on the right is Pops. Pops is a blowfish with [crappily drawn] wings and a halo. He also has a paring knife in his hand. Pops is like Panic's adviser, only that, he doesn't advise, he's just there to be funny.

hope that help's his developement a lil
The design is pretty good! Proportion of human figures is something you really have to practice at and even I still suck carp at drawing them with no references. To help you out: find a picture of a skeleton, print it out and sketch the body around the skeleton - that way you can be sure the anatomy is correct.

However, one of the most effective/fun ways of pinning down poses is to draw them from real-life figures or from photographs. Take some pictures of yourself in different poses and use those as references. Smile Just keep practicing!

I like the costume though, Kendo training outfits look eerie and it'd make a decent getup for a superhero. Keep working at it!

(P.S. I like the fish)
Thank you Blue and Alice!

The ideas of Panic's design is changing drastically already and has a possibility of becoming a little mech-like (after all he shoots lasers). By integrating mech designs with human anatomy shall be very amusing. I seem to draw mechs better than humanshapes as well, so I'll see how it comes out.

The possibility of a short story detailing the superhero's origins of how he become how he is is very very possible as well.
