They actually do a tad bit more damage.

I main lots of characters including Zombie,Hero,Byleth,Joker,Link,Ridley,Bowser, and Pokemon Trainer.

I main Pac man, Steve, and Mr. game and watch. I don't even know how to competitively play GAW he's just a fun character

I've mained Steve ever since he was released on my birthday. I've gotten so good with him, I have a 5-minute compilation of every time I've won a match by spiking. But Steve is also really fun to use.

Spam Dsmash and when you bury either side b or Fsmash. If you don't kill with that, go to ledge and spam neutral B. EZ wins. Only works online though.
Edit: WHAT TO DO IF YOUR OPPONENT GETS ABOVE YOU
1: Spam Uair or Nair.
2: Shield. If your opponent looks at your shield the wrong way, up B.

I do that all the time. I use ether instead of using side special.
