Crazyaries stated the idea of the material being in the driver, I showed HOW it could be in the driver.

It's obvious the tip itself would have a new material as no material used in beyblade until that point could get the plunger to work.

We only have the angled render right now
I still believe that the black tabs on Cho-Z Spriggan is manual recoil change. In the video the black tabs click when the guy was extending them, so I don't think the tabs are controlled by the Bey spinning like people actually think.

The lock is only when extended, so the springs help retract them.

After seeing the Cho Z Valkyrie videos, where the wings click out just like Spriggans black tabs but at the same time requires you launch it to get the wings or tabs out. I don't think you can just launch it with the tabs outwards as it'll block the launcher. The reason it has four is to accommodate for the dual spin, so the gimmick works for both sides. So there really isn't much mode change unfortunately.
I think both have a burst stopping gimmick.

This reaches absurd levels of silliness once you start counting removing or swapping out parts as a "new mode". At that point you might as well just say anything with any one of the parts counts before sitting back and looking at the billions of possible combinations that arise from that.
Personally I see only 4 really usable modes for the layer (all black pieces pushed in, all black pieces pulled out, and then the same but in the other spin direction). Leaving half of a gap just doesn't seem worthwhile to me, and neither does leaving a gap in one side of the layer and then covering it on the other side. With that taken into account you're looking at 12 reasonable modes once you add in the Zeta driver.
I don't think the black tabs are meant to be manually switched and used. I think it's the exact same case as Cho Z Valkyrie. If you watch the Takara Tomy video, they demonstrate that a strong launch pops out those wings and it also rotates similarly as Spriggans black tabs, where it clicks in and out with a spring. If you tried to extend the tabs manually before launching it, the part sticking out inside the launcher slot will block the disk and launcher prongs. The tabs on the other side would be blocked by the metal disk tabs. The reason it probably has four is so that two can be extended out at a time when hard launched.
In short Spriggan basically has the same Burst stopping gimmick as Valkyrie. And the only reason it has four is the gimmick is compatible for both spin direction.
