For the LR Launchers that come with Sr and lS, is there anywhere to slow down or prevent gear skipping?

they don’t seem to like heavy beys as much as string launchers do

however a string launcher will skip if pulled hard enough as well

there are very few times you really need max power launches anyways (e.g. mG vs mG, etc)

Yes, there is. DO NOT crank the launcher with your Beyblade after you have attached it. Cranking is the #1 cause of launchers wearing down prematurely.
Are they talking about the launcher that comes with the Hasbro version or the TT version?

TT versions. They come with LR Lightlaunchers and are known to skip.

Okay, I really do love the TT launchers, but I don't know if has wrong that you actually use them in their tournaments.
