What do you mean completely messed up zero g? I mean the only things they changed were making the stadium a bit wider/flatter and putting pockets on. Not too big a deal and doesn't mean it ruined the series. I mean, look at those awesome recolors, like pheonic/x.

hahah yes, but the name changes and the pockets really didn't help. But at least it wasn't like Fusion Hades to Firfuse Darkhelm which was really drastic. Oh and also the BeyWarriors, even though they're a side product, it seemed as if, Hasbro really were trying to advertise it a bit more than the actual beys. Other than that, there arent really that many other problems. Smile
Name changes don't really matter much. Hasbro does that with a lot of side products where they advertise it more. Beywheelz is an example. I'm really happy they are releasing the beyblades and some have pretty cool colors. Also some have some good parts that were hard to find when TT released.
(Feb. 18, 2013  7:22 PM)~Mana~ Wrote: [ -> ]Even so, they may have made a Zero-G Stadium, but as usual, they covered over the pockets, so it's practically just a Stamina battle each time.

The covering of exits is not what made the PTW and other Hasbro mold changes bad. The reason they were bad was that they had a horrible pocket to wall ratio, sporting a mere 2 small exits, and a horrible design (eg. very shallow slopes, non-circular, awkward shape). This made it extremely rare to even get a beyblade in the "pocket-zone".

The pockets didn't have much direct impact on KOing, besides that fact that some beys could slip out of them. I may be wrong, but as far as the WBO methods go, as soon as a beyblade hits the pocket, it is consider a KO even if it slips out a couple seconds later.
im happy about theses releases and correct zero g and hyperblades but what ever happened to mercury anubius
Well they got the swaying so we should be thankful for that at least.
What most of you need to remember is that Hasbro is releasing what they believe to be best for their market. My guess is that most members here are not their core market. While we may not like a lot of the changes they've made, their market research has shown them what they believe will sell better here, and make them a better profit. That's what businesses do. Make profit.

Do I wish the products would cross the ocean unmodified? Yes. Do I ever believe that'll happen? No. Your average shopper buying at Toys R Us, Walmart, or Target aren't really interesting in the nitty gritty of Beyblade like the hobby bladers are.
That's definitely true, and there's also a lot of things Hasbro probably does purely due to differing safety regulations outside of Asia. However, I would argue that Hasbro has also made a lot of decisions that have hurt the profitability and original image of the brand defined by TAKARA-TOMY, in addition to the competitive spirit of the game itself (case in point: the 2012 World Championships).

Hasbro seems to think more in terms of frivolous, trendy style (which is, quite frankly, ugly most of the time) and vague, uninformed concepts of performance. TAKARA-TOMY on the other hand, seems much more thoughtful, both in terms of the refinement found in and the basis for their style/inspiration/design, and for the depth of performance that can be built within each component of the game. In other words: it's obvious who the creator of Beyblade is and who is just a licensed distributor.

That being said, while there is things we can nitpick about regarding Shogun Steel, the fact is, in terms of the product itself, what they are going to be releasing is the closest they've ever been as a whole to what TAKARA-TOMY originally did with the series. That's something to be happy about.

Not really because it's the same of the MFB stadium, they have a stadium out without gap!

lol. Even though, Im still kind of interested in seeing the kind of junk well get from the xts line. Like I said, I can see something super rediculous like a remote control stealth battler. I mean there are already the remote control tornados.

Off topic but you would see me put caps like THIS but I do that because people normally ignore the important keywords on what I say and usually make frustrating mistakes so I make any keywords or any important ones capital

Back on subject now ;
I've recently seen some shops with similar deals ...
A toyshop in Churchhill square in Brighton (I.E ; near me) has had beys for 5 quid for a long time now .
The bad part though is that only a handful of them are even worth getting. Most of them, even at $5, is still a bad deal because they're so bad, lol
Tell that to any kid who has no idea there's Beyblade products outside of the US. This is a great deal for the younger kids who love their Beys just the way they are.

I know ...
Giving a zero-g bey to someone with only a knowledge of Hasbro, would have there friends in complete awe.
To be honest (my opinion) they are kinda of cool for collection. I mainly buy Hasbro, its an easier way to get beys, now that hyperblades are out. I mean while most of these "Spark FX" suck, I like them just for a collection purpose, I don't expect to use these for any competitive purposes, unless I'm up against a storm capricorn, haha. I mean I got an L-Drago Guardian today, and the only reason why is I want that Blue Guardian wheel for my collection. What I mean is the purpose is kinda just to look cool. Like I said, while most are ugly, I LOVE the L-Drago Guardian.

I usually speak from a competitive/TAKARA-TOMY standpoint, but yes, you're correct, it is a good deal for the general audience.

Then again, I'm not the general audience, haha.

Yes, I for one love TT, I just don't have enough cash (pays for own beys) to import Lots of Takara. I own a few, but you get the point. While Takara is a huge importance for one's collection I'm saying these Spark FX recolors are just another smaller part of the collcetion. Probably didn't make any sense. Words

Cool. I went today looking for hyperblades (wave 2) But they had none. Like i said I picked up a Guardian, and a Death Quez. for 6.96 each. (They were mismarked, I told and showed cashier, gave me the mismarked price Supaburn No spark fx two packs. They look good from what I saw online though. I really am wondering if we will see a Hyperblade 2 or 3 packs.
That'll be eating my wallet if they do. That'd be like $20 :\
If Hasbro actually releases Hyperblade 2-3 packs, as time passes on, we may see price cuts and sales from the store distributor. Maybe then it would cost the same as a non-hyperblade 2-3 pack, so you're getting more for your money. Yet still, if the regular price is 20$, that's like buying the two beys separately.

I think in most store the sell 2-packs for 15 USD

I was referring to the hyperblade 2-packs(if they make them of course).
I wasn't trying to seem all high and mighty, It is a bit hard to express emotion in text. Also, I kinda misunderstood your post that I quoted for the big quotes, It looked to me at first that you were only replying to one of those posts, but there were other people unnecessarily making large posts. Sorry for sounding rather smart-aleky....

Anyway, I completely agree with Kei, they noticed a huge difference in profit when they messed up the metal fury at first, so they made hyperblades! And I'm sure there are some safety regulations that keep them from putting gap/holes in the stadiums like the bb-10.

Btw, I am looking forward to a metal fury game. Not for the game itself, but mostly for the exclusive beyblade that will hopefully be mercury Anubis!!!! Also, out of curiosity, why haven't they released a hell crown bey yet?!

Hyperblades are generally $1-2 more than the regular Metal Fury line, so I'm guessing a 2-pack would cost around $17-18 and a 3-pack would cost around $23-25 or so. Would be nice if they released some, but they would probably have to phase out something else in the franchise first to make room on store shelves.

1. They will release Mercury Anubius somehow, but it doesn't look like they're making a video game for Metal Fury since there wasn't one in Japan.
2. Partly because they released Divine Crown instead...
