Quote:[Hasbro Name], known as Ωrichalcum in Japan, is an Energy Layer released as part of the Burst System. It debuted with the release of the B-00 Booster Ωrichalcum Ωuter Ωcta on

==Description==
Ωrichalcum features a round design with a face on either side and orbs on either side, meant to represent this Layer's Japanese namesake, the historical metal Orichalcum. As part of the Switch-Strike/God Layer System, Ωrichalcum features a gimmick; the underside of the Layer features claws that grip onto the Performance Tip.

Due to the centrifugal force of a Beyblade's spin, each half of the Layer will extend outward and in turn bring two grooved claws on the underside of the Layer inwards to grip onto the Performance Tip and revealing red coloration for identification. In theory this is meant to increase the Burst resistance of an Ωrichalcum combination early in battle where spin speeds and thus Burst risks are highest. In practice, the grooved claws increase the friction between the Layer and Tip and thus the gimmick works as intended.

However, two factors limit the gimmicks effectiveness:
The action of each half of the Layer extending outwards creates an elliptical shape akin to Metal Fight Beyblade's Flash Metal Wheel. Such a shape creates high amounts of recoil and increases the Burst risk and can create a Knock-Out risk depending on the Tip used.
Ωrichalcum's Japanese release features four teeth of only medium length and thus the Layer must depend on its gimmick to not Burst with the aforementioned shape.

Unlike its predecessor Shadow Ωrichalcum, Ωrichalcum features much more intricate detail molding which creates more gaps. However these gaps are very shallow and small which creates no discernible difference in performance.

==Overall==
Ωrichalcum features a working gimmick and a very round design. However, the elliptical shape created by the gimmick and the somewhat weak teeth mitigates the effectiveness of the gimmick. As such Ωrichalcum is not a must have but a welcome addition to any blader's collection.

It's pretty much the same thing
I'm pretty sure Orichalcum and Shadow Orichalcum's Layer articles can be merged into one article, they're barely any different. A section somewhere in the article saying that they're the same except with minuscule design differences would be a good solution, I think.

Yeah, but officially they're listed as separate, so the wikia has them listed separately as well.

I'll DM Mana about this
also im wondering about the stamina of the layer

its probably worse than gK and gZ maybe around aC level tho i cant say for sure since i haven't tried it but from what i have seen its stamina is less than gK and gZ

Like I said on the shadow orichalcum thread, the elliptical shape the gimmick produces could diminish its stamina like rising ragnaruk’s high stamina but weak teeth and high recoil design

I think you should add the Hasbro version that it has metal.

The Orichalcum layer doesn’t have metal, the Octa driver does, so it should be added to the Octa article that the Hasbro version is hardly different from the original

I did see it, so I know that the layer does not have metal, the driver does

Ωrichalcum has never had metal, and zankye weighed both the TT and Hasbro layers. They're almost the exact same weight.
