Hi I am new to the Beyblade community I had some questions based on tournament play in the rule book for burst it states that Foreign substances cannot be added to beyblade parts. However it also says that broken handles are legal. In my case I have problems with my hands and cannot hold onto small handles such as string launchers and rip cords. As a result me and my friends designed and 3d printed a handle to add to the sword launcher rip cord would I be allowed to use that in burst format play? (no other modifications were made just a larger handle to add to the sword launcher rip cord)

Hi Geckohero!

Sadly I don't think your 3D printed grip wouldn't be legal but I'd love to see some pictures. But you could use a launcher grip

Appreciate the response. Do you have any other suggestions on things i could use.
Normally you have to use what TAKARA-TOMY offers, so you should get some Launcher Rubbers from Burst or even Metal Fight Beyblade to see if they fit. That would at least give you more area to grab onto.
for burst maybe the grip rubber would help. if this was MFB i would tell you to get a launcher extension but that does not exist in burst
Yeah was wondering on that if I were to get my burst grip by TAKARA-TOMY and attach that to a rip cord would I be allowed to use that. Just didn`t do that first cause my grip is untouched and the rule book said nothing physically modified.
Eh how would you attach a winder to a Launcher Grip? It is impossible, you would have to use a foreign substance like tape.

This I can hold fine only problem is my hands cannot clutch tight enough to pull the rip cord out of the light launcher or even use the string lauchers

Yeah not sure what to try, just kinda want to participate hands are really busted up cant even hold a regular knife and fork lately. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Pretty sure there's no rule aginst using bionic hands or prosthetics. As a temporary measure, wear a sweat-band around your wrist, tie the launcher string around it, pull with forearms! Longer term, use a hook or clasp (bulldog clip, perhaps) attached to a wrist-guard (as in skateboarding) to hold the string handle (or ripcord). The clip would probably come loose at the height of the "rip" to avoid damaging the launcher.

There are a surprising number of people with no hands (or just one hand, or gummy hands, or whatever) in the world. Solving this issue without modifying the launcher would be a great way to include peeps who might otherwise feel disabled. Props to your friends for helping you out.

Awesome sounds like a good idea thanks for the tip.Gonna try this if i use a hook or something that would help a ton, Now I can use all those launchers that came with special sets I bought. Was just not to sure on the rules. Thanks for the help looking forward to playing!
I'll admit, I thought this would work better than it does. The clip opens automatically at the height of the "rip" because the velcro strap pulls the handles together, as planned. It's just a little unreliable though - it sometimes opens halfway through the "rip" and can also be difficult to reattach with just one hand. Maybe a hook would be better after all - easier to reload, at least. I also have a newfound respect for people with only one hand!
