It's meant to represent its gimmick of unifying the Base and the Union Swords. Some Beys have names based on their gimmicks, while others have names that just make them sound cool.

I think it’s more likely meant to represent the idea of a balance type. The union of multiple types kinda like other parts such as fusion and unite.

Best I can tell, Wave is MAYBE a rubber flat surrounded by spiky plastic...? The picture's too grainy to really get a proper look though.
