FYI: Boosters are just packages that only come with one beyblade, and do not come with a launcher and ripcord. They don't have anything to do with the Beyblade System (pre-HWS/HWS).
Yes, the pre-HWS (original MFB) are compatible with the HWS beyblades. The only thing that is not compatible are the clear/ metal wheels (from the HWS beyblades), and the regular wheels (from the pre-HWS beyblades).
