SATURDAY, JANUARY 9, 12PM
Masonic Lodge - Simsbury, CT, USA
BURST FORMAT

From seemingly out of nowhere, the third generation of Beyblade has burst onto the scene!. Connecticut Bladers, this is your chance to get a first hand opportunity to try out the new Beyblades from this exciting, explosive new series, receive one for yourself to take home, and trade parts with other players to build the best Beyblade you can!

Top 3 bladers get to take home a Beyblade Burst Bey!
That's right! When the tournament is over the top 3 get to pick from the Burst Beys used to take home! Other lucky participants will also find themselves going home with one of the Burst Beys used during the day.

Mandatory $5 Entry Fee = More Beyblade Burst Events + Extra Credits!
To help subsidize the high cost of importing some of the new Beyblade Burst items from Japan, a mandatory $5 entry fee will be imposed on all Beyblade Bursts Onto The Scene events, regardless of whether or not a participant has a Blader Passport (if you wish to purchase a Blader Passport for $10, the total cost would be $15 at a Beyblade Bursts Onto The Scene event), and there will be no prize reimbursement. We hope that everyone can understand this! The more funds we have, the more we can afford to do for the community in the future! We're actually going to be losing money despite this entry fee, and for those that receive a Beyblade, it will be much cheaper to get one that way than it would be to import one yourself (although we certainly hope you all do this after playing with them!). However, to show our appreciation for your cooperation and support in helping to fund the event, all participants in Beyblade Bursts Onto the Scene tournaments will receive the following:
  • +1 Extra Credit to be used for prizes from our awesome Blader Rewards, on top of whatever they would have normally earned.
  • New Passport Holders will earn +2 Extra Credits, rather than +1.

"But what about my BeyPoints? I've never played Beyblade Burst!"
No problem! The first Beyblade Event in every region will not count towards the BeyPoint System. Think of it as an opportunity to experiment and just focus on having fun with the new series.

Of course however, there will also be Faces and Credits to play for. Wink

What is Beyblade Burst?
Beyblade Burst is the brand new, third generation of Beyblade by TAKARA-TOMY! It is set to launch in July 2015 in Japan. If you are not familiar with Beyblade Burst, please take a look at the Beyblade Wiki article covering it: http://beyblade.wikia.com/wiki/Beyblade_Burst

If you think you'll be able to make it out to Beyblade Bursts Onto The Scene: Connecticut, please post here and I will start building an attendance list!

naijalak
bubblegum bey
akalajian
monkeysagitario
rockdragon
unregistered user x4
charliebey

Possible Attendees:
Sadly won't be able to make this since it's the weekend of my finals.
Ah! That's a shame. Don't worry, though. I'll plan another for March.
The Beys are in!

I'll have the following available for use, and in the giveaway pool:

Ragnaruk Heavy Survive
Kerberus Central Defense
Deathscyther Oval Accel
Spriggan Heavy Defense
Ragnaruk Central Accel
Kerbeus Wing Fusion
Valkyrie Spread Survive

I'll also have an Odin Central Blow for use, but not in the giveaway pool.
We had a great tournament today! A lot of no-shows, but that was OK, as it took some time to get used to keeping the Beys on the launchers.

Results were:

1st: akalajian
2nd: Naijalak
3rd: monkeysagitario

Winning combos will be posted soon!

Glad to hear it went well, how many people ended up going? Did pretty good for not playing in a while, your family took the top 3, haha. Not too shabby. Wink

Wish I could have made it down, sounds like it was a good time! I'll try to host in February, most likely.
We only ended up with 7. We had 3-4 people who said they were coming and never showed.
Were they the "unregistered users" ? Anyway, I am glad the event was able to happen regardless.
2 that showed up were unregistered. 1 registered, and a few more unregistered never showed. rockdragon and his brother were supposed to show, but his mom said they got caught up with other things.

2 new players is great, through, and they're looking forward to more! This is also the first time monkeysagiatrio played (he's my 5 year old). The other 2 that were new were also 5 Smile

I know the 2 new kids, and charliebey, ended up ordering some more Burst because of the tournament.

I swear it's Monkeysagiatrio's second time because I battled him at your last event in September 2014, haha.

Glad to hear of the two new players- young or older?
Happy to hear this event was able to go forward despite the no-shows! Hoping it's the start of even more for Connecticut. Smile

Faces and Credits have been distributed for this event, and of course Beypoints will not be processed for this since it is the first such tournament, so away this goes.
