This didn't seem to really fit into any other thread, and I think it's pretty important information, so figured I'd make a new topic.

The Beyblade Burst launcher has been much-maligned for its tendency to skip and produce incredibly weak launches, or often skip so badly that it causes the Beyblade to lose Burst clicks during launch!

However, this Tweet from a Japanese Blader indicates that there's been a change inside of the Light Launcher as of B-12 Deathscyther Oval Accel.

I tried out my Deathscyther Light Launchers today and indeed, they launch incredibly smoothly and produce launches that, while not quite meeting the power of the BeyLauncher's, would be useable in a competitive environment.

I hope this news can reassure you guys that Takara-Tomy is listening and being proactive about fixing the issues in Beyblade Burst!
Nice! I noticed that my Deathscyther launcher was doing really well, I thought it might have just been because it was new, but this is awesome! Once they come out with the special rip cord, the light launcher might actually be equal to the BeyLauncher.
Yeah, the Light Launcher seems very good now, certainly better than MFB's Light Launcher.
Thanks for the news!

Sadly, I have to go through my launchers to find which one is from DeathScyther..
Haha, I had to as well, but trust me — you'll know. It's a night-and-day difference.
Either way, this is great news!

Thanks Brad. Smile

EDIT: Can't wait to test my launchers when I get home! ^__^
Oh sweet maybe they will fix the bey launchers soon. I said they could have it fixed by the red version coming out in what twenty days now? And no one believed me Grin you'll see. You'll all see.

But this is fantastic. If I wasn't going to pre order triforce heroes I would go buy a deathscyther
While this doesn't guarantee any element of the BeyLauncher will be changed, I hope they will have had a chance to correct it by now.
Seeing how Takara-Tomy went about fixing this problem, would it be acceptable to lay a thick piece of tape across the same area on the internal part of the Light Launchers from earlier Starters? This modification would save some of us from having to buy a B-12 and shouldn't really be any more more complicated or unmanageable than previously legal launcher modifications, such as oiling launcher gears.
Nice. Good to hear. I already messed two of them up. Nice to know that one of them that I still haven't used should hold up better.

To be honest, I don't actually understand what's been changed here. Maybe you can explain?
Whatever happened, adding a tape would be illegal. There will also be plenty of Starters to come, so you are almost guaranteed to acquire several just in the next few months even if for some sordid reason you do not want to purchase Deathscyther.
^ Right. I realize that this sucks for everyone who purchased previous starters, but we cannot really condone anything that involves adding new materials inside of a Launcher, since there's a pretty big opportunity for variance in the procedure to affect gameplay.

Unfortunately, this is just a fact of being an early adopter ...
Plus why would you not want to buy Deathscyther? It's an awesome layer and you get an extra accel with it.
Check this out. Since this is a light launcher thread, it would be a good place to share this technique. I let my ripcord that I am going to be using sit like this and keep doing this to it every so often to give it that nice smooth bend to the right. I am sure many of you have figured it out, but I haven't seen it posted so I thought I would share. I bet if you did this with the warm/cold water trick, it would make it more permanent
thanks this is really helpful because my valkyrie is skiping like none stop

Google roughly translated the post you linked to in the OP as saying something about the left image being the inside of a Light Launcher from one of the earlier releases, whereas the right image is the inside of the one from B-12.

I circled the parts of the launcher in the second picture where the plastic was thickened, I'd assume to reduce skipping, which it obviously has based on your and others' responses.

Lining the same areas of older launchers with something thick like duct tape should produce a similar effect, but like you guys said, results would vary depending on how well the job was done.
Wow, really cool that they've put forth the effort and made the modification to the launcher! This is great news.
Ahh, I can see it now! Thanks.

I thought the idea was to straighten it out? Haha
Yeah, now that the jamming issue is corrected internally, you probably don't want them to be curved.
O I see. Yeah you may be right. But yeah, before they corrected it a ripcord bent to the right would grab the teeth better.
I just received my Spriggan Spread Fusion with the Light Launcher and I've only had a bit of a jam problem that got fixed (surprisingly) with a gentle shake. It's good to see TT actually stamping out imperfections with each release.
I had received my Deathscyther yesterday and had noticed a big improvement from my previous Light Launcher!

This is pretty great news. Smile
Yeah the best part of this is that it shows their willingness to correct problems quickly. Now hopefully they get rid of sharp Valkyrie-like teeth in upcoming releases
I just prey to god that the string launchers will get a fix Chief - Uh.
