I have some questions about the WBO event guide.

1)If I was to run an event how would I use the BeyPoint Ranking System?
2)What is an example of my costs being reimbursed if I was to run an event?
3)How would I get the reimbursed money?
4)If I was to run an event how would I know who will have a blader passport?
5)If I was to run an event and some one was to pay for entering or a blader passport how would I send the $ to the wbo's paypal accout?
6)If some one payed for the blader account at an event would they have to pay the 5 dollars to get in at the same event?
7)If I was to run an event how would I record the payments, keep the money safe, and send the payments in to the wbo's paypal account and with the payment tell who payed for what?
8)What is an example of the wbo's supplies and activies that are funded through the event's purchaces?
9)If I was to run an event and someone filled out a form to make an account for the wbo how would the account get made and how would I get the forms to do this?
10)Can people be recorded during the tournament at an event?
11)Do the beybladers have a choice to be recorded or not?

1,3,6,7,10 & 11 have been answered.
2 - Khel answered this. It depends how much money we have and how much you spent, and if all of it was necessary. It depends what you purchased as well.

4 - Aqua answered this.

5 - You add the money to your account and send it through Paypal ?

8 - Hm, we used to have some stadiums, I think. For the rest of the question, I believe you can figure it out on your own ...

9 - Usually, I think we just take their e-mail address and the username they wish to have. I suppose the Committee makes the accounts.
8)we don't fund supplies. I answered many of these already. You collect funds and from the total funds I can deduct a certain percentage depending on the current circumstances.

I answered 2, 4 had already been answered (click on the blader passport on someone's name and a list of everyone who has it comes up

5 has been answered, you use paypal as well

9 has been answered in my previous answer. Just take their emails.
If you guys don't fund anything theres no point to pay then. This is from the WBO event guide " The WBO is not-for-profit; all money from fees goes twords funding the WBO's supplies and activities! "
From the post right above yours : "You collect funds and from the total funds I can deduct a certain percentage depending on the current circumstances."

We also organize some things online, for your information. And sometimes they are not free.
So you organize things online... how does that change anything...
Also how does what Khel said change anything?
It explains how, from the funds you got from the event, we could give you back a certain percentage for the supplies you would have bought for the event depending on the circumstances. If we have no money to begin with, we cannot fund anything at all ... Not even one percent. So we do not fund, but we might reimburse.

OK, I speak French everyday and I understand this. Therefore it is not really a matter of languages ... It is something else. You really need to do your part of understanding in this.
I see

So it looks like to me that people shouldn't need to pay. This is because of what Khel said, if I didn't buy anything to contribute to the event then I wouldn't get anything( So there will be nothing in it for me,) nor will the money going to the WBO be funded to any supplies or activites, so the money payed is wasted. So putting money in to go to a WBO event would be wasted money because it would most likely be the same as if it was a free event.

Because this site costs money to run. The contests we have for physical prizes cost money. The beypoint system itself costs money to build.

When I said we don't fund supplies, I mean we don't directly pay for the item and ship it to you. You pay for stuff to run a tourney and we will try and pay you back whatever is possible. We don't have very high cash flows as is so if you run a tourney and only collect $50 in funds but spend $100 on supplies we can't pay you $100. At maximum we would be able to reimburse you $50
... So what do you think we do with the money ? We keep it and use it for personal expenses ?

Why do you do not comprehend that, if we have zero dollar, and that nobody pays to enter the event, then obviously we cannot give you a certain percentage of the money to reimburse some of your purchases. Even if you somehow bought everything you needed by yourself for a decent tournament, we cannot start making exceptions for certain tournaments concerning the fees.

Not to mention I am not sure we have 'supplies' right now ...
Considering the Beypoint system is going eat all our funds (+ some personal) no we don't have much in the supply department right now.

I appreciate that I may not be personally answering your questions, but if that's really a sentiment which you hold maybe your questions shouldn't need answers.

Believe it or not, people who hold tournaments do it out of fun and for a sense of satisfaction; no one is under any obligation to do so, and hence no one will get any sort of "reward", apart from pride in a job well done and a Face for their troubles.

What, did you think you would be paid for running a tournament or something?

Except the money goes towards paying the site's hosting costs, the supplies for giveaways, the costs involved in developing the BeyPoints system, and when we do do larger yearly events the funds go to that as well. If you do not find the costs fair, you do not have to host an event; and I doubt any proposal from you would be approved after this. The WBO does not even break even considering the small amount of money it brings in. Just to keep the site online costs $200 a year minimum. The BP system has cost hundreds to develop.

It's not even a REAL tournament, it's an UNOFFICIAL tournament.

I wouldn't say people shouldn't need to pay if I was wanting to get payed.
"if I didn't buy anything to contribute to the event then I wouldn't get anything( So there will be nothing in it for me,)"
This implied something else, however.

What also happened to all the points that were brought up, hm.

What would you call offical then...
(Dec. 16, 2009  1:30 AM)nacnate Wrote: [ -> ]( So there will be nothing in it for me,)

Would certainly suggest so.

I don't want to get into an argument about this. All you've done is come here and undermine the WBO as a whole ... A little sense would be helpful next time you post, because you've come off looking cheap about running a tournament centered around spinning tops.

Edit : Apologies if that was a bit aggressive ...

Hasbro, TAKARA-TOMY, etc.
(Dec. 16, 2009  1:59 AM)nacnate Wrote: [ -> ]What would you call offical then...

Run by Hasbro or Takara-Tomy. WBO should be considered a volunteer activity. If you are looking to make money, this is not the place to do it.

Seriously, this guy only wants to run a tournament if there is something in it for him. He doesn't understand that this is a fan-run, volunteer organization.

She means you are not addressing the legitimate questions and criticisms brought against you.

Points were brought up after you wrote that. Are you unable to comprehend simple logic ?

No good luck trying to get a good reputation after this ...
And what were those points since you seem to know what they are.
