Like hard copy for box display and when people come over they tend to look at the shelf and see what I've got. BOXES FOR EVER

Yes i enjoy looking at my shelf's of games its just really cool.
Digital is worth nothing, it will all be gone once the shop servers are down. Plus everyone wants their own account with their own games.
I always will pick hard copy over digital. I refuse to buy games from steam because I've heard from others of buying games digitally from places and if that company goes out of business you lose it all. I know steam if mega popular and the chance of that happening with them is slim but better safe than sorry. I've also personally lost accounts when my xbox hard drive crashed and lost games and dlc with it because i couldn't remember the account details.

Plus I like looking at my games. Games have to be pretty damn cheap on sale for me to buy them digitally on the PSN, Xbox Store, or Nintendo Shop. Sadly some games don't get digital copies so no choice. =\
There is a small error in the video, Digital games should load faster than hard copy games simply because digital is already on the hard drive / solid state drive which should take less time versus inputting a disk and making the console look for the game files to run the disk, this is especially true in a solid state drive, but in a hard drive it is hardly noticeable i would say. But i personally like hard copy games because for something like nintendo ds / GBA everything gets saved on the cartage versus having all your files stored on the system / SD card (I had bad experiences with digital where my files got corrupted and such, so there is another reason why i prefer hard copy), plus I am a collector so having the physical object makes it a lot more of an easier choice to got for hard copy. The only time i like digital is probably on steam since you can share games with friends and such, it is pretty cool but either than that, there really is no reason for me to get digital copies haha.
I love physical games because I just love something to hold, especially rare games. I think the games are more long lasting, and cartridge games are more durable and I find it more reliable.

I don't think digital rare games are as satisfying to me.
Hard copy forever, you all explained it well lol. But honestly, when servers are down, the games down and that;s no good. give us hard copy P.T!
hard copy fo life and fo eva
I Also enjoy hard copy because I either get to go to the store and get one or order it online and the satisfaction of opening it and putting it in the console feels great. I also enjoy looking at box and disk( or cartridge ) Art. I only get digital games if they are on the nintendo virtual console. And when looking at the eshop the selection isn't great.
Hard copy.
With hard copies you can:
show off your collection
lend a game to a friend or borrow one of theirs
Sell them if you don't want it anymore.
Doesn't take up additional hard drive/memory card space.

I'll get a digital copy only if the game isn't available as a physical copy. Such as "Digimon world: cyber sleuth for PS vita (I'd would have gotten the physical PS4 copy, if I had a ps4...)
Hum, yeah but... :
  • Some games cost a lot of money, Earthbound for example,
  • If you have a big collection, it will take a lot more space than having a big collection of ROMs on an USB Key,
  • You don't have to worry about breaking/damaging/losing your games, since you can always make hundred of copies, and you can download it anytime, anywhere, as long as you have an Internet access, obviously,
Digital copies aren't susceptible to damage or wear, and as long as it's not running through some obnoxious cloud service (it should have all the files stored locally, and should be independently executable), digital copies are still fairly convenient.

Not being able to resell games is a genuine concern, though. My Steam library is full of games I bought on sale for cheap, but never play. If those were, say, used copies I bought at a Gamestop or something, I could re-sell them to friends who would play them.

But that's because it's Earthbound. It's one of the rarer SNES games out there.
Sure if you are looking at collecting retro games, they can be expensive due to rarity and demand.

In terms of buying a physical copy vs digital of the same game today, it can be the same (if not close) in price.
For example MLB: the show 16 is $79.99 CAD on the PSN and selling for the same price at local retailers (EB Games, Best Buy)
To be honest i like digital games more for old school games like games that cant be used on the current gen consoles. Like Street fighter III third strike and marvel vs capcom, etc. for games that are current gen or next gen i would prefer copies of the games rather then digital unless there is an incentive to buy the digital one that is better than the hard copy version. like dlc
