Cool. Sounds like things are slowly but surely coming together. Just a heads up for whoever may be from outside my area (Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk) I'm gonna eventually talk to my community college about letting us use your their space for a tournament. I'm almost certain they wouldn't mind.
My son and I are going to Roanoke for the 13th event. But I've spoken to the Parks and Rec people and they are supportive and willing to try to fit us into their schedule!! Maybe Feb?
The parks and rec placed you mentioned is in Richmond? We'll be in doors?

Not that I'm picking a date just yet... but I'll keep these dates in mind... Not the 17th got it. I'm having a great conversation with the director with Henrico county Parks & Recreation for space to play indoors... I'm waiting for their reply. Who is willing to be the organizer and does anyone have "offical stadiums" we can use? How many judges are willing to show up?

I think Kaboom was interested in organizing but I can judge and help as needed. I've got a Burst stadium & he should have one too

If I am able to make it I can help judge I have helped judge I believe two other events, but I do not have the stadium required for official matches.
I'm asking for a date on Feb 10th 2018 - Let's see if they have space for us in Henrico County Parks and Rec - if so we will go live with starting an event on the calendar. Thank you all for your support!!

Yeah sure. We dont really have a limit to the number of judges. If we need you to judge we'll just ask if no one else is available. We'll alternate. Everyone able to judge will get a chance. :P But does this mean you're confirmed or possible?

Definitely down for the 10th. Just make sure you familiarize yourself with the new ruleset because a lot has changed over the past couple years, most notably deck format & new standards for submitting tournament results

So I think we need to go ahead and start a new Tourney Thread for Richmond for the Feb 10th date - registration starts
-11:45am - Noon start time for the event. If you can list Henrico County for the event - or Richmond Va for the location? I'll nail down the specifics and we can edit as required. I'd love to have it posted long enough to drive up interest in people wanting to play.
I can propose the event to the committee but can't post another thread til it's approved with 8 people.
