As a new member here, I'm a bit of an unknown, but I'm fairly decent with Photoshop and photomanipulation. I got into photomanipulation in particular from watching the show Avatar: The Last Airbender. If you're not familiar with it, it's a show about people who can manipulate either fire, water, earth, or air, and the Avatar who can control them all. Anyway, I wanted to see what this cartoon would look like were it reality, so I began making pictures like these (Just an example or two).

To sum up, it occured to me that I could possibly make something similar with Beyblade effects, like Dranzer's fire attacks and so on. If anyone is interested by this idea, feel free to take and post pictures of Beyblading. Feel free to include yourself in the picture, maybe making a dramatic pose if you feel like playing the actor. I might also be able to work with close shots of Beyblades for a more direct approach. You could even copy a screenshot from the series, and I could try to duplicate the effects.

I mean, who wouldn't want real magical tops with the power to hospitalize people? Grin
Nice I love what you did with those pictures it looks so spectacular lol.

And the Beyblade idea sounds great!

btw I really like your Sig.
Those look great, keep it up Wink
wow real nice photomanipulation and liking your sig aswell
nice i like your sig and the photos but y can't you use abode after affects?
I don't know. I've just always done everything in Photoshop.

Does anyone think they would be up for getting me some pictures to work with?
Kai signature. If someone wants it, I can add your name.

Ming Ming signature. Again, if you want it, I can add your name. And by the way, I make everything on a desktop monitor, so if you're using a flat screen, my stuff may seem too bright or awful. I work on a darker screen. (Also, I like Ming Ming. Shut up.)

You may use this one, Beyunit-DL, as long as you credit me in your signature.

all your stuff looks the same

This. It looks like you use renders for everything you make; try learning new techniques and broaden your horizons.
I'm aware they look the same. Please don't assume I can't use other styles. I made that Kai signature similar since Beyunit wanted the other one, but it was taken. At the very least, I try not to conform to the majority of forum signatures I see, which tend to be picture + giant text eyesores.

I'd also mention you're basing what you know off of what, 3 signatures? They are certainly not all of my signatures.
Actually your sigs look like most photoshop sigs I see.

What about the Ming Ming one? That dramatic style doesn't suit Ming Ming's character at all.
Well then, link to your topic or site?

For a sig pic? Make me a Kamen Rider W one.
I meant, link to whatever site or deviantart you put your art on, so I may see it. And why are you requesting something if you don't like my stuff?

ah, sorry, i thought you were telling me to challenge you to try something else.

lol what is this? i guess because i don't play guitar i can't criticize rock music, either?

that being said, i designed all the graphics on this site (well, the normal ones, not the brad day ones lol). i'm not that great, but i also didn't make a thread for myself about my photoshopping abilities. just suggesting you try branching out a bit.
Check the first post, where I clearly say I'm fairly decent, which I don't consider bragging or showing off in any manner. The first post also states why I made the topic, which was to see if I could make a photomanipulation of realistic Beyblade powers. You're welcome to give me criticism, but you make it seem like I'm saying "LOL GUYS LOOK HOW UBER I AM AT PHOTOSHOP IM THE BEST, LOOK AT ALL OF MY COOL STUFF," when in actuality I've only posted 5 things in this topic, two of which aren't even relevant to signatures. It's like your saying my stuff isn't good because a few of them have similarities.

There's a pretty big distinction between being "similar" and "the same". Wink

It's not that your work isn't good, it's just that the styles are all almost exact replicas of each other which diminishes the quality of the overall collection.

For instance, imagine going to an event where your favorite artist is going to be presenting a large collection of their work and almost every painting/piece looks so similar that you wonder if they've gotten their "art" down to a formula -- it's no longer an art or an expression, it's now a clinical, formulaic assemblage of various elements. The paintings are all still technically good, but they fail to impress you after the first few because you start to notice such glaring "similarities"; there's no emotional connection or reaction.

There's a difference between having a certain style that subtly appears in each piece of an artist's work and outright copying something that looked good before and slightly changing it so it's considered "new".

Anyway, I think what they're saying is right -- you very clearly know your way around Photoshop, perhaps you should just try and learn some new techniques to add some variety and spice into your work.

Hope this didn't come across as rude or angry, I didn't mean it to be if it did. Smile
Ok thanks snoosnoo for the sig Wink i will give credit.
