For a little while now people have asked me how I managed to develop my graphics skills. I always tell people it's a combination of practice and a willing determination to improve. This thread is used to reinforce that advice. All the graphics pieces which are included range from when first began graphic design to my latest. Consider it a timeline.


I hope you enjoy taking a long at the sigs I've created over the years. I've posted my oldest sigs at the top and the newest at the bottom, this way you can gauge the steady progress I've made over the years from my first sig to my latest. I'm always trying to better myself with each sig.


**Just a note, the graphics included are from when I used to use an old username. I used to be DZB Spirit, Spirit SP and .deusEXmachina. **

How much of it is brushes, renders, etc.

The whole thing is using brushes, there's no render. I used a few differant types brushes along with the smudge and blur tools and added quite a few color balances and contrast layers.

Well, its your first in 2 years and its pretty good. Nice flow and depth in it.

I really like it. It makes me feel like I'm in space far from earth

Very nice. The text is kind of in the way, though. If you still have the layers, maybe you could do something about that.

I really like it it has a nice flow i think Ray stands out a bit but its pretty awesome.
I kinda think the text likes draws your eyes away from the focal point but to be honest i think its very hard to make text really fit in a sig

I can honestly say that design and placement of txt is an area that i need to improve in, i think that the text in the sig looks a little out of place, it takes away from everything else. I think i may just need to become familiar with PS again and not to be afraid of experimenting and trying differant things.
We'll see how my next one goes, lol

Depending on how I'm going for time after the Uni exams, I MAY make 1 or 2 sig request for someone.

I'm feeling quite generous and creative at the moment. The first person to post in this thread and request a sig, I'll create one for them. You'll simply need to mention a few things though.

No problem buddy, I can do that for you. Though do you have any specific pictures of an angel that you'll like me to use?

No specific picture. Perhaps just the wings ... or maybe one wing of an angel and a black wing or devils wing. I'm sure if I limit you to a specific picture it's potential is also tarnished in return. I just want my signature to scream "Justice" and "beacon of light" (without actually saying it; a picture is worth 1000 words right?).

hmm nice work but ur sigs r to small the maximum size of a sig can be 500x150 try to make sig of this size and best of luck with ur sig shop

Thank you for the well wishes. Though in regards to the size 500x150, if feel comfortable using a smaller size. I feel as though it looks more pleasing to the eye using smaller measurements, as opposed to larger sizes like 500x150.

Thanks Fyuuor. I'll look at it in the morning, I have classes tomorrow and need to head to bed soon. I really appreciate it and I'm sure it'll turn out great.

hmm, i could use a new sig. could you do one for me? i would like something with all the L-drago beys with a purple background, no name needed. if you could do that that will be great.

I'll see. I have quite a lot of study to do for my next exam, and the offer was only valid for one member as it was a spur of the moment type of thing. However, if I get time I'll create one, though it won't be my top priority.

On a side note, I've updated the OP with every graphics piece that I could find which ranged from when I first began to now.

Now that you edited your original post I can say that it's really inspiring. Even some of your earlier works look really great. It's a neat timeline that displays your improvement throughout the years. Thanks Fyuuor for sharing that.

I really admire what you've done.
They look really good and I hope to be able to make something like this in the future, LOL.
