Now I am looking forward to this. I've loved Speed Racer since I was a kid and it sucks you don't see it around anymore, but thanks to those brothers (whos name I can't spell) they are doing this its gonna be awesome. Please discuss and remember GO SPEED GO!!!!!!!!

The Movie looks like a hunk of carp, Its like Disney came along and Failed trying to Resurrect an Old Show, Its got a hardcore Disney look to it but tries to have some sort of a Serious/ Dramatic storyline but still tries to remain Kiddy.

Eh, it was an alright show. And it can't be denied of its fame and impact in the early years of the American anime industry.
Episodes of it used to be shown on SPEED network (some race car channel) late at night several years ago.
I'll probably end up going to see this when it comes out. Just to see how bad or good or mediocre it turns out to be. It could turn out alright but Speed Racer is a hard anime to make a good live-action adaptaion for, even for the Wachowskis (not that hard of a name to spell). If you want good solid live-action anime adaptations, go watch the Death Note flicks or wait for James Cameron's take on Battle Angel Alita.
It'll be interesting to see which will turn out better - this Speed Racer movie or the live-action DBZ haha

It's way too colorful to be any good, of course.
Visually it will be pretty unique and crazy. But juding by a few early reviews, not very deep.
Still I'd cop it for the style, I think that it is in Imax.!
