Here it is everyone: B.O.D kijiji ad
Sep. 23, 2014 12:32 PM
You did the ad wrong, for the location part you're not supposed to say "Barrie, ON" you're supposed to put in the location of the tournament. Other than the few grammar mistakes it looks okay.

Oh, that's what i thought too, didn't know how how to fix it, but know i do
Sep. 23, 2014 10:56 PM
Ok everyone! This is the ULTIMATE BLAZE version of my ad now! It is now, 100% edited, including the the location, and grammer, and so much more!
Here comes the Beauty

Hi, not sure if this is the best place to post or if it should be it's own thread. First post ever on here so please be kind
My 9 year old son loves beyblades and would really like to come to this event. Is it worth bringing him and would he be able to compete, have fun and get to know how these things are run? Will everyone be playing with the kind of beyblades he has collected from stores etc and do most people mix up the pieces to battle with a combination beyblade? What would be the best series/model beyblade to bring to a live battle? Any advice for a newbie is appreciated!

Hi friendly1 :)
It would certainly be worth bringing him to the event! Most players in our tournaments are probably in the 10-16 range, but we do see players in a wide range of ages participate at our tournaments; both older and younger. Nine-years-old certainly is not the youngest, so I'm sure he would fit in and have fun. We've had many young kids be successful in the past too.
As long as he has Beyblades from the latest series released by Hasbro starting in 2010 (Beyblade: Metal Fusion, Metal Masters, Metal Fury, Shogun Steel, etc.) he should be fine. Most people do bring their own mixed-and-matched combos to our tournaments; uncustomized Beyblades out of the box usually are not as good as those that have been customized. Part of the fun of Beyblade is finding the best combinations of parts that work for you. I would recommend bringing "Synchromed" (two Warrior Wheels combined) Shogun Steel Beyblades, as they are much heavier and generally more competitive. Hyperblades like Phantom Orion B:D might also be a good choice if he doesn't have any Shogun Steel Beyblades.
I would also recommend seeing if he can bring a friend or two with him since this tournament is going to be played under our brand new "Team Format" (as is described in the opening post). He'll need two additional team members. Worst case scenario though, we can pair him up with two other Bladers there (one possibly being yourself haha).
If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask! I hope to see you and your son this weekend at the tournament!

I'll be at the con, dunno if I'll enter the tournament, but consider me available to flesh out a team if someone is going to be left out.

Depends on how many people we have. Maybe 3 or 4PM, worst case scenario?
Sep. 27, 2014 11:36 AM
Woot, today's the day, I actually managed to get a little sleep, too!
Anyways, I'll be heading out at around 8:15, or so, also needing to get downtown and going through the registration. That in mind, I'd assume I should be at the ELM Room by around 10:00, most likely even earlier, haha.
See you all in a couple of hours!

If anyone can bring extra BB-10's, it would be appreciated! I have a couple, but the more we have, the better. See you guys soon.
