Both events went well. We had 3 Stadiums and Judges for both. We started Limited at about 9:30, just to see if more would attend (which, two did). We were able to finish at 11:00, but it took a bit to determine who had placed. We had to have a final between me and ElementChris, he won 3-2, I believe, though don't remember fully, haha. ElementChris placed first with one loss, I placed second with 2 losses, and BladerBlock placed third, with about 3 losses, I believe.

At about 10:30, my art teacher and her son arrived; but he did not have any Beyblades. We were going to let him borrow some and play in Zero-G, but they had to leave a little before 11:30, which was too bad.

We then decided to have a Zero-G format tournament, once we realized, or thought we realized, we had enough time to do so. We had 12, so decided to start at around 11:20. We had to leave the room at 11:55, but we still had a few rounds left. We decided to head to the overhang under the library (since it began to rain), where we successfully finished the event. I placed first with one loss, ElementChris placed second, and TheSupremeOne placed third. (not sure offhand how many losses)

Overall, we all had a great time and saw some very unconventional combinations place; everything will be posted in Winning Combinations soon.

We had 2 great events, in just about 3 hours. Results and fees will be sent in soon, as well. Tongue_out
Damn, had you not told your art teacher that Beyblade tournaments rarely last only one hour, hah ?

I told her when to arrive, she said she would arrive at (or a bit before) 10, due to her daughter's ice skating. That's one of the reasons we waited a bit- we decided to start and figured we'd try to work him in, if she showed up a little after, which would have been alright with us, since they were confirmed.

When they arrived, we figured it'd be too much to add him in, since we were already in round 7-8/11. We figured he could stay and watch until the Zero-G event began (and he could play in that), but they left almost right before it started.

Since it was his first time, I'm glad he was able to at least get a feel for how it works- he seemed like he was enjoying himself.
In Zero G, Leone19, Elementchris, BladerBlock, & I all had one loss & four wins, since we did a two-block round robin. After a round robin between the four of us, Leone19 placed first with zero losses, Elementchris had one loss, I had two, & BladerBlock lost all three.
I must say that my opinion on F230 has shifted somewhat after seeing it in action.
Just to add- the results and fees have all been sent in, courtesy of The Supreme One. Tongue_out

Care to share?

Anywho, sound like this thing was great! We can rarely get anyone to stay for a second event, and you guys got 12 without even planning on it! That's seriously awesome. The CT community must be pretty great, haha.

ElementChris did insanely well for his first event ever (it was, wasn't it?). First and second on the same day is something I haven't even done yet. Oh, and good job to you guys too. Smile

Let's just say that I had MUCH more luck with Saramanda Goreim SA165 GF in Zero G than I did with Reviser Dragooon F230 GCF. This was probably due to the fact that I had never used the part before until the tournament, but that would just prove that it requires a mastery of a correct launching technique. I do think, however, that we should still watch its development at this point. Only Leone19 and I had the Takara Tomy orange F230.

ElementChris is a friend of Xtracorruption and Bladerblock, so I believe he got some coaching and a few parts from them. We actually managed to do Zero G in a little less than an hour, pulling in Leone19's mom so we could do a two-block round robin.
According to them, Chris's combo was a bit random, but he had worked on it.

He's played in a few events, but never Limited, before.
Going to bump one last time to let attendees know that both events have been (quickly) processed!

Thanks, Uwik! Grin
