This gmae is where Soul Calibur began. It was made around 1997 for ps1 and i had it when I was around 10 or 11 and I must say........THIS GAME carp ROCKS!!!!!! The characters are awesome, the story is incredible and it has THE GREATEST INTRO I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!! the intro is on youtube but I 'll show a link to the video. The way I heard about this game series is kinda weird. Back when I was into Yu-Gi-Oh, I saw some random AMV using Yu-Gi-Oh footage and the song from that video, Edge of Soul, thinking it was from a Japanese OST or something. XD

lol so thats where you heard that song from... I've listened to Edge of Soul over 15 times in 2 days I love it soooooooo much its a drug.
I played this in an arcade once, seemed fun enough.
Apparently they made an arcade version of SoulCalibur III as well, though I haven't seen it anywhere.
I miss this game so much I think I will buy it and play at Ichida's house

That's probably because Soul Calibur III is largely regarded as the worst in the series. lol

its not the worst. SC3 was good I personally enjoy it also cuz I kick Ichida's carp in it with my character Litrid...........THE ALL GREEN WARRIOR!!!!!!!!!!!

Yet I enjoyed it more than any of the others, and aside from the awkward crossovers, SoulCalibur IV is going to be epic.

I think it's just a senseless, pointless, plotless crossover for the sake of prolonging Star Wars' dwindling lifespan. It's pretty much a "because we can" situation as far as I can tell.

I love Soul Blade, a great game in my opinion it raped Tekken 1 and 2 in terms of Gameplay AND Storyline, Probably that and Soul Calibur are the best ones out of the Soul Series, SC3 sucked carp in my opinion just the same old carp all over again.
If you loved the first two, why would you hate the third for being similar? Besides, it's not the same. Better graphics, character creation and customization including a class system and a plethora of new weapons, a new albeit somewhat out-of-place tactical game with its own storyline, which I enjoyed for the most part, etc.
I've seent the first SC and played SC II and I enjoy em all really. SC III is really fun cuz of all the characters and weapons and the characte creation system is really good.
