Dark.
Thanks! Great to know!
Hey all, my MFB knowledge is a bit rusty and with the recent rise of mid fakes I'm being more careful in regards to buying mfb beys.

I recently saw a guy selling Quetzalcoatl 90WF and he only has 6 stock left(which is an amount more in line with a limited bey), and I just wanna know. Did the metal system beys ever get bootlegged?

Hi man, unfortunately yeah. Metal Fight fakes are around and still alive. If you want an advice, the most (in)famous fakes maker is RAPIDITY. You can tell it by the front of the box immediately, while TT legit has the japanese logo of the series RAPIDITY has RAPIDITY instead. That litterally sobstitutes the legit logo!
Watch out and be careful. We all could give you a link to the best e-shops, but i don't know if that's allowed here.

Oh, I'm actually aware of this one.

What I'm talking about isn't MFB in general, but just the metal system. Did they ever receive any bootlegs?

By Metal System, I mean the MFB beys without any clear wheels, the system before HWS. Did they really get bootlegged?

I saw a boot leg L-drago on Amazon(I had a feeling you were talking about pre hws) and I have seen a bootleg a Cyber Pegasus, Leone, and Sagittario.

How did you know they were bootlegs?

Any chances if this Quetzalcoatl is fake?

Here are some images that the seller sent me as well. He said the 6 he still has in stock no longer have any boxes;

I could tell that they were bootleg because they didn’t make the all too satisfying clink of metal and due to their weight. Do try and see if it spins on left launchers like most fakes do

Huh, what do you mean by the weight and clink of metal?

And what about this Quetz?

Fakes don’t have metal so they don’t make the sound when real beys hit each other. This also makes them underweight. I would say Quetz checks out as it’s within the price range (40 dollars disincluding the sale on it), it has a blue tool instead of the traditional fake black, and the seller seems to only sell TT stuff. If you are skeptical ask the seller for some kind of proof that it’s real (such as a box)

Huh, I never knew about that. Well I guess they should be if they're all plastic.

And the seller told me the boxes don't exist anymore for some reason. Normally I wouldn't doubt MFB beys being listed as Takara Tomy especially if the seller in question gave me several pictures, but due to the recent arrival of A0813s and a bunch of these sellers not even being aware of their own products being fake I got way more sceptical.

They might’ve thrown the box out. I think the fact that the metal part is not ultra shiny is good evidence that it’s real.
Are 3d printed beys fake?

no. They aren’t really Beyblades at all, just they sometimes use similar models and names

Is young toys fake?

No, they are just the Korean distributor for Takara Tomy Beyblades.

Sorry for breaking in into this discussion, but yeah Young Toys beys are slightly cheaper than the japanese/Hong Kong-Taiwan ones. But, i have to say, Young Toys releases new stuff a bit later than the others (which have new products at day 1, right on the date release unless Tt postpones everything for some reason). This might help Young Toys lessening prices. Also, import taxes fees: South Korea may have lower costs than Japan and Hong Kong-Taiwan. I don't know for sure if i'm right, though.
So one way we can tell MFB beys apart by L/R capabilities, but what if we have a bey like Variares or the bey that it was based off of, Gravity Perseus.

Another way to tell is by looking at the stickers sheet, if its back is yellow-ish (i mean, a noticeable shade of yellow), and when you put the stickers sheet there's a yellow paper layer instead of a white-ish one or the front doesn't report any of the following writes: Takara-Tomy, Takafumi Adachi, the year of production- then it's most likely a fake. Or check out the tool and launcher it comes with, if it they don't have Takara-Tomy, manufacturing year and made in china written on the prongs' part that is the circle with another tiny metal circle in the middle, then it's most likely a fake as well.
