World Beyblade Organization by Fighting Spirits Inc.

Hi everyone, I'm a spanish fan of Beyblade, but sometimes I like to watch Beyblade in other languages like English. One day, I was reading the summary for episode 20 of the first season and I read this:
There, they confront two other All Starz members, named Eddie and Steve, and Max learns more about his mother's job at the BBA - specifically, a rumor of why Max was not asked to join the All Starz team.
I saw that episode many times, in English and Spanish, but I still do not know why Max was not asked to join the All Starz team. Can you help me with this? I'm a big fan of Max.

It would be better to use our general topic for questions on the Beyblade anime and manga, but if I remember correctly, was he not just completely unaware of what his mother was working on before then and she did not want him mixed with that necessarily ? Plus, the teams were already formed : it took Kai to rebel and leave the team all of a sudden, but technically members cannot do that.

Go ahead and ask your question in that other thread, but also, do they mention a rumour about why he was not asked to join the team at all in the episode ? Obviously they do not say exactly what the reason is otherwise you would not ask, but is a rumour mentioned at all ? It might just be whoever wrote that episode summary that went beyond the actual episode and made a mistake.
