Pretty sure Z Cole and Bey Ben only had those one Limited-legal Beyblades (there was a Standard tournament earlier), so that explains the Stock Shinobi Gryph and Gravity Perseus.
Geetster tried to outpredict me and thought I would use the Tornado Staller again, but I changed and we ended up going Attack vs. Attack, which I won, much to both of our surprise. Next, I managed to KO Thunder Dome 3 times (he was kinda salty because it was the second time had I won a bad matchup against him lol). I then tried to use Dark Knight LTAC before it was cool and failed miserably. Dark was spamming Gravity F230 so I picked LLD because that was the go-to counter at the time, however I lost because I have no skill with Attack types. Bakushin totally walled BladerLight's LLD combo. Then, I took the safe way out to beat Geetster's mom (who was only borrowing one of her son's combos to use the entire time). BladerLight learned from the last match and tried to counterpick me, but I still beat him the same way I dealt with Thunder Dome.
I think this is where it becomes the finals. By then we had discovered Burn Tornado Stallers also beat Gravity F230, so I tried it out against Geetster, but lost. Later, he posted that maybe it was because I used 90 instead of 85, but no one ever gave evidence that .5mm made a difference in that matchup.
Then came the fated matchup between me and TheBlackDragon, a mistake I continued to make for the next 2 tournaments. He had a Lightning attached to his launcher, but he must have battled back-to-back or something because he said it was what he had just used in the previous battle. Whoever was judging believed him and let him switch (and also let me switch too, but I tried to fake him out and stay with Bakushin). Unfortunately, he beat me for the fifth time in a row.
I thought Geetster would have used Gravity F230 again so I gave Lightning another shot, but it turns out he wanted to just get the tournament over with using a quick Attack type. Surprisingly, I won again.
In retrospect, this is the tournament where I overreacted about Gravity, and it seems to be because I lost both matchups against it that I should [theoretically] have won.
