_TOC_

'''Note:''' Mercury Anubis was first by Takara Tomy, and was only reachable by winning the Bey Ta 1 machine, or a WBBA tournament. Hasbro then released the Brave Ver., and was only obtainable by winning in a Hasbro tournament in Canada.

==Face:Anubis==
The face depicts Anubis, the Egyptian jackal-headed dog of Mummification and the Afterlife. On a marblish cerulean background, the face shows Anubis looking to the left, with his crown, in blue and white detail, with a white outline. There is also strange graffiti on the left side.

==Clear Wheel:Anubis==
*'''Weight:''' 2.87 grams
The clear wheel shows Anubis's head and face on each side, and Anubis' crown on the top and on the bottom, with figure-8 like design on each crown. It is clear turquoise in color.

==Metal Wheel: Mercury==
*'''Weight:''' 28.94
Mercury is two-sided, and slopes downward. Mercury Anubis has a few similarities of Vulcan. One similarity is that is that like Vulcan, Mercury has two small wings that point out. However, even though Mercury is shaped like Vulcan, it doesn't have the attack power Vulcan has, because Mercury is simply too light to give off any sort of attack power. In fact, Mercury is one of the lightest metal wheels. Thankfully, it is lighter than Torch, though Poison is heavier by .86 grams. Because Mercury is so light, it does not have any competitive use. The original is painted blue, yet the metal wheel's original color is still there.

==Track:85==

|<font size="1">21.0 mm</font>
|<font size="1"><b>Height:</b></font>
|<font size="1">8.50 mm</font>

85 is the shortest Track available. In theory, such a low Track would offer many advantages: Attack-Types can more easily hit the underside of Metal Wheels, or hit directly at the Tracks and Bottoms, while Defense and Stamina benefit from a lower center of gravity, as well as reduced chances of meaningful hits while at the cost of increased chances of scraping on the Stadium floor.

Competitively however, Low Track customizations have fallen into disuse with the release of the Boost Disk 145 and 230 Tracks. The former (in Normal Mode) is basically immune to Low Track Attack, while the latter, being made of plastic and being so circular, is much more effective at absorbing hits and prevents opponents from latching onto it. Additionally, in the case of Attack customizations, 85 can be a slightly risky choice, as it increases your chances of scraping while attempting to bank or use the Sliding Shoot; as such, Tracks like 100 or 90 may be preferred depending on how much a (Metal) Wheel overhangs its Track. Also, while 85 can be used in stamina customizations because of a low centre of gravity, other stamina-type tracks like W145, TH170, and SR200 outclass it, therefore making it useless.

Despite the fact that is outclassed in stamina, 85 still has use in tornado stalling customizations.

===Use in Tornada Staller Customizations===
Despite the fact that 85 is outclassed, 85 has found exceptional use in the Phantom Cygnus 85MF.

|<font size="1"><b>Tip Height:</b></font>
|<font size="1">6.28 mm</font>

Extreme Flat is a large, plastic Flat tip with four small pieces of plastics spread evenly on the edge of its circumference. It is the second widest plastic Flat bottom, as wide as RF, and GF being even wider, and one of the fastest bottoms, GF and R2F being the most aggressive.

Contrasting RF, XF trades controllability and adherence/grip for speed and stamina. XF therefore has a much harder time achieving and maintaining a flower pattern, often switching to Tornado Stalling under inexperienced hands.

Compared to MF, XF retains its superior speed, while its width and material gives it the better grip. However, it still has inferior controllability. Difference in Stamina is the most complex comparison between these two Bottoms. MF is a taller Bottom, and its metal tip is smaller than XF plastic tip, making it better in conventional, same-spin Stamina. On the other hand, XF shorter height and wider tip allows for better stability at low rotational velocity, making it a better choice for the more unconventional spin-equalizing, where MF would just topple over at low rotational velocity.

Overall, XF can serve as a potent alternative to RF, adding Stamina to your Attack customizations. However, XF has fallen into disuse since of the release of GF, as GF is a lot more aggressive, and also because other tips like EWD outclasses it in terms of spin stealer/ spin equalizer customizations. However, XF can still be used, though only as an alternative.

==Other Versions==

*'''Mercury Anubis Brave Ver.''' - Limited Edition (Translucent Black clear wheel, Red and Yellow metal wheel, translucent yellow spin track and bottom)
*'''Mercury Anubis Legend Ver.''' - WBBA Gold Rank Limited Edition (Marblish translucent indigo clear wheel, Blue and Black metal wheel, marblish turquoise track and bottom)

==Overall==
Anubis doesn't have any use, and Mercury definitely doesn't either, and 85 and XF can be found in lower-priced Beyblades. This considered, and due to the relative rarity of this Beyblade, '''this bey should only be considered for collection purposes.'''

Should it be added that it could only be won in a Canada exclusive Habsro tournament? (since it didn't take place outside of Canada)

Thanks for letting me know. You may not know this, but I don't live in Canada. Anything else that may need improvement.
you need to fix the XF section it says that XF is the widest but GF is the widest flat tip Smile GF is also the most aggresive flat plastic tip but note that it is more of a balance tip then attack
OK, will do!!

Why note that if we're talking about XF?
XF's uses are rather outclassed in attack and spin steal, and 85 is also outclassed by things such as sr200, w145, th170, and sa165. Looks good other-wise.

because if you say XF is the widest flat plastic bottom then your giving out false information

85 can still be used for tornado staller combos, right? I understand that XF and 85 are outclassed, but these can be used as alternative, right? Please correct if I'm wrong.
Xf is like a fourth alternative for attack and outclassed in spin steal/attack(if thats competitive any more)

85 is excellent as a tornado staller, but not as good for pure stamina.

Tornado Staller: Phantom cygnus 85 mf

OK, thanks. Something told me I had to change the customizations.
Striker Phantom, you definitely base your drafts on the Beyblade Wikia's articles, and no offense to anyone who contributes/works at the Beyblade Wikia, but this is really not a good idea. In fact, even if you change most of the words and even the sentence structure, it remains that we can find way too many similar points between both versions. It is not normal that I can find, in this case, you mentioning Mercury's similarities to Vulcan, a comparison of weights with Torch and Poison, etc. This is either not even relevant, or close to plagiarism anyway.

Mercury Anubis/Anubius, just like Aries and Divine Chimera, should be articles made by people who really own those Beyblades and who have been willing to test those rare and painted Metal Wheels extensively.
