You can have up to 4 monsters in your main party; 1 Super Giant Size / 1 Giant Size, and 1 Small Size / 2 Medium Size / 1 Medium, and 2 Small Size / 4 Small Size. The Super G size is a new addition to the DQM series for this game.
In the original GBC version, both protagonists each had their own game version with both versions having some different monsters, and different keys. The 3DS remake will have both protagonists stories combined into one story in the game.
