World Beyblade Organization by Fighting Spirits Inc.

It’s twelve o’clock in the evening and all the lights are shut. I walk cautiously, trying to get home without causing too much trouble. I’m known as the resident “Bad Guy” around here apparently, and people always try to overthrow me. I don’t really like fighting, but I guess the punches I throw are really heavy since I have won almost every battle against almost everyone… except for my mother that is.

The cool soft wind of the night dances along my hair as the moonlight reflects off of my glasses. My house is just a couple more blocks away, but a gruff voice resonates behind me. “Hey smart guy!” I turn, and see a very tall man wearing shades. He has blonde hair that’s cut in a crew cut. Judging from his buff stature, he must’ve worked for the military or something.

He gazes at me from head to toe. “You’re Oswald Rinner? ‘The Most Awesome Fighter’ in Patientia Terre?” He asks. Ironic, since Patientia Terre means “Patient Land” in Latin and this is definitely the most wrathful land of all the seven continents.

“Yeah. So what? Leave me alone. You wouldn’t want to pick a fight from a loser like me.” I say, turning around. I REALLY don’t want to fight tonight. My Mom is home alone, and she gets very scared when she’s home alone.

I turn around, and almost prepare to run, when two more buff men pop up in-front of me. Damn it.

The buff man behind me grabs me from my neck. “I’m Walter Grans, the next ‘Most Awesome Fighter’ of Curandus Terre. I’m about to prove it to you!” He pushes me away and quickly lunges at me. I duck down and his arm misses me by an inch. I think quickly, and run to the other guy behind him. I jump, and use his chest as a jumping platform to gain air. As I drop down, I prop my elbow to my front, and, combined with the force of falling down, smack it right into Walter’s face. Blood spews from his face as I do.

“I’ve got to meet my mom.” I say, wiping blood from my elbow. The other two try to catch me, but Walter holds stops them. I nod at him, and he smiles.

I rush to my house and shout “Mom!” as I go in. Usually, she would go down from the stairs to my right, which leads to her room, but now she doesn’t. Weird. I go up the previously mentioned stairs and knock at her door. A few seconds pass, and I don’t get an answer. She usually answers her door knock as well.

“Hey!” I shout. Still no answer. I try her doorknob, and it’s unlocked. Impossible. I slowly turn it and open it a crack to peer inside. I see a hooded man looking over my Mom’s body.

“Hey!” I burst inside and point at the hooded figure “Who are you and what’re you doing?” I say as I open the lights. The hooded man pulls of his hood. He has a pale complexion and his eyes and hair are an ash black. He looks at me and vanishes into thin air, leaving a trail of black feathers and ash behind. What the heck!? I try to go to the place where he vanished, but an ice cold hand that makes me shiver touches my neck and a knife is drawn into my neck.

“You are Oswald, am I correct?” He asks. I answer with a slow nod, trying my best to avoid the knife. He vanishes again, and he appears in front of me. What a relief.

“I’m from Caritas Terre. I’m one of their messengers.” He says. It’s true; I’ve seen Caritas Terre’s, Charity Land, messengers. They’re equipped with the advanced “Phantasm” technology that allows them to teleport. Of course, it has gigantic cool down. “Caritas Terre is planning to take over the world. I’ve escaped them and give you this message.” He says. He is breathing very heavily, as if he has to go quickly because there’s somebody chasing him. “Quick, take this.” He says, and gives me a… USB Connector?

“Uh, what’s this for?” I ask. USB Connector’s are SUPER old here in 2025. I don’t see the need for one now that technology has surpassed the limits of a USB Connector.

“That… is your ‘Item.’ Something that represents you. You can scan it using your AM-PED later. I hope you meet Rhian…” He says, trailing off. As I try to ask another question, several more hooded men burst into the room. The messenger tries to escape, but one of the hooded figures pulls his clothes off, removing his teleporting tech. And then they disappear, leaving nothing but black ash and the messenger’s screams.

Whoa I think, holding my head. What’s going on? I look to my mom.


She’s still asleep.

I run to my room and pull out my map of the world. There are seven continents.

Patientia Terre or Patience Land, Caritas Terre or Charity Land, Castitas Terre or Chastity Land, Temperentia Terre or Temperate land, Industria Terre or Diligence Land, Humanitas Terre or Kind Land, and finally Humilitas Terre or Humility. As you can see by now, they are named after the Seven Virtues. Someone told me when I was a kid that the Continents used to go by different names, although I don’t believe that. Each continent is ruled by a President representing each characteristic.

I scan through the map trying to find Caritas Terre and spot it right below ours. In my map, it is to the left of the Pacific Ocean, which is the same as ours.

I sit on my bed with the map to my side. What did he mean by this USB Connector? And who was Rhian? He also said something about a message. I get my AM-PED, a 4.5 version allowing spontaneous transmission with different people. An AM-PED is something that replaced Cellular Phones a long time ago. It stands for “Advanced Multi-Purpose Electronic Device” and it does a similar job to cellular phones, except with Internet and all that stuff. An AM-PED physically looks like a long, fat stick with a button on the side. The button only presses once it has your fingerprint, so that is the AM-PED’s security measure. I put my finger upon the button, and the stick glows. A screen pops out of thin air and shows the Main Menu. I tap on the “Scan” icon and pass the USB Connector through it. Scanning stuff can give a lot of information such as fingerprints, the date it was made, and many more. After the scan, my AM-PED finds a file. I tap on it and a message appears.


Is this from… The Castitas Terre President? I quickly close the file and put my AM-PED on the side. What is this? I’m pretty sure this is a prank, but the messenger looked real. I can’t believe War is coming to a world of Virtues. And, how does it know me? Wait, is that what the USB Connector supposed to be? I still don't get it.

Willing to find more, I scan the USB some more and open the file once again. Instead of the previous message though, a different message comes.
