I have retired from blading since about seventh grade (i'm now going into 11). I was thinking of starting up again but have been out of the loop for a while. I still have a few blades that use the engine gear system(ya that's how long it's been). I heard something about bey points, what are they and do i have to use them?
Hey, I'm in the same boat pal. Just recently got reinterested in the game. Here's the crash course on what happened for the past 4 years.

1: Beyblades are being completely reinvented. Thanks to a new anime in Japan (Beyblade Metal Fight) and Hasbro completely redesigning the blades it's making a huge comeback and all of the stuff should be coming here to US soil in about a years time. (go to the beywiki link at the top of this page to check out the details...highly recomend you do, it was a life saver for me.)

2: The new blades are made almost entirely of metal...no lie. Unfortunatly they're only avaible in Japan right now but you can buy them online from a variety of sources.

3: The new anime is completely new. No bladebreakers...none of the original bit beasts, beyblades, or chacters. Heck even the bit beasts are non-existent now. Instead of bit beasts the new blades are based off of constealations. (Sagitarius, Leo, Pegasis, Draco, Taurus, etc.)

Like I've aid though, check out the beywiki. It'll really help you out.
Beypoints are basically ranking points. When you go to WBO run tournaments you can gain and/or lose those points. There's really no use for them. They are just for fun.
ohh boy this is really gona hurt the ego huh?

When you click on "Help" at the top, you get a lot of answers.

However, the BeyPoints system is disabled right now until the new, better version is ready to be used.
Thank you for your help, by the time the new system gets over here the new system will be up so i guess all is OK

same here...guess were newbies again.
yeah bey points will be fun but i found a drawback to them
eg: you win the world championships so think you the best on the planet so you post your points on the web
to make it clear you are the best only to find some one named 2smooth4u has loads more points and bursts your bubble.

That's nothing new, to any game or sport though. Its good to remember that not everyone goes to tournaments. I don't think I will be, mostly due to travel limitations.
Hey I'm also in the same situation as you guys. I haven't used beyblades since I was in about grade 4. Right now I'm in grade 10, and I'm hoping to start owning again, lol.

But lets just not have my buds see me walking out of Toys R Us, holding a beyblade stadium, hehe.
I'm also in the same boat, I went out in Year 6 and now I'm in Year 10 and I'm back blading, though I'm sure it'll be real fun!!!
same here, iv been beyblading for many years, but this new system has gotten me alittle off about it, i dont know maybe its just nice being back in the game not knowing a thing about it like when i was younger.

either way i know about all the old blades but im abit in the dark with the new system, and have yet to own one for my self, so i dont even know what they are like, im not about to get into the episodes im not an anime fan as much as i used to be and prefur to keep my good old tyson and kai in my mind dispite i was a REI only fan.
really guys its not that hard just to read around instead of having the answers just handed to you, its not complicated the system at all.
